第一个应选are
第二个应把are 改成is,前面一个the，把主语当成一个整体看

第一个用are 我同意，但第二题我觉得at their home 怎么就听得不顺耳呢， the brother and sister 只能说是有歧义吧。

我和同事讨论过,也觉得at their home 应改为in their home,at home 不能用人称代词进去了,但也不确定,所以向大家讨教了.
