Step 1 Revision1. Revise the words and phrase。Pay attention to the spelling.2. What was theweather likeyesterday?3. What did youdo in the morning/yesterday…?(天气的话题学生比较熟悉，学生可以自由讨论)Step2Grammar time1.T:From the story we know it was… in the morning/ in theafternoon.教师示范朗读，纠正发音，学生练习读。板书is-was。2.T:Let’s read the followingsentences in groups. Divide the class into groups offour. Theyshould read the sentences loudly. 呈现Grammar time中的句子，让学生在小组里读一读。3.Underline the words was, were, saw, flew, brought, went., took,became,could.划出句中的动词过去式。4.Let the students try to read these words correctly. Theymay help to eachother. Then later the teacher help.学生组内朗读，互相纠正读音。教师帮助。 5.组内讨论并总结过去时的时间词和词组。6.Report. 小组代表发言总结。（适当的时候根据组内的情况来帮助补充）一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，常和表示过去的时间状语连用。一般过去时也表示过去经常或反复发生的动作。引导学生找出句子中的时间标志语，并板书。 In the morning， in the afternoon ，long long ago,one day， yesterday, last night, three days ago。这些都是过去式的典型词汇，学生根据这些词就可以判定过去式！7.Practice. 通过写出单词过去式和用动词的适当形式填空的练习复习巩固所学一般过去时。Step 3Funtime 1.Play a game:教师通过图片的展示，引导学生说一说自己在什么样的天气在哪里做过什么样的事情。2.Pair work.组织学生两人一组进行对话练习。A: Pick three cards.B: OK.B: It was… I…A: Well done.3.Get the pairs to act thedialogues. Ask two or three pairs to present it tothe class.Step4ConsolidationChoose onepicture to write. 选择一幅图写一写。两项句型的复习，第一项让孩子回去复习一下以前所学的句型，这些句型可以怎么回答，在什么样的情景中可以运用。复习动词过去式的规则形式和不规则形式，从而让学生进行对比学习。因为本单元的内容是孩子们每天都能体验到的，所以孩子都有话可说。
