一般疑问句的肯定回答中,be动词不可以缩写.Yes, I am/he is/she is/it is/you are/we are/they are.

this is如果缩写成this's确实存在发音方面的问题，因此没有缩写形式。不过there are=there're   where are=where're等是不存在发音问题的，是有缩略形式的。其实这就好比名词以s结尾的变复数时加es一个道理，目的就是方便发音。另外am not一般不缩写。
