Unit 1 Who is younger?主备使用人
单元简析
本单元的主要话题是两种事物的比较。通过Ben, Jack和Su Hai之间的闲聊引出本单元的主要语言项目:形容词的比较级。我们可以创设情景,用实物或动作将比较级的概念清晰明了地传授给学生。本单元牵涉到得有人和物的比较,我们在教学中可多联系生活实际,引导学生将所学的语言项目运用于实际。
教学内容:

教学目标:
1 能听懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词young, glad, tall, than, short, strong, heavy, go for a walk, as…as。
2 能听懂、会说、会读单词met, chat, twin, minute, only,
child, so, goalkeeper, centimeter, one day。
3 能听懂、会说、和会读日常交际用语I’m as tall as you.

第一课时
教学内容:
B部分 Look,Read and learn
教学目标:
1. 初步了解、掌握B部分出现的三会、四会单词old older, young younger, tall taller, heavy heavier, long longer, short shorter, stronger strong, big bigger, small smaller, fat fatter, thin thinner等形容词的原级和比较级。
2.正确掌握This woman is old, but that woman is older. 等相似句型。
教学重难点:
1.能正确理解、掌握B部分单词。
2.能熟练运用句型操练单词。
教学准备:
1 准备录音机和磁带。
2 准备本课单词的图片。
3 准备好的调查内容。
教学过程:
一、Warming-up
ASing a song. 跟录音机边听边表演唱英文歌曲《Hello》
BFree talk. 师生交流
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Ss:Good morning.
T: Nice to see you again.
Ss:Nice to see you, too.
T: What day is it today?
Ss:It’s Friday.
.......
二、 Presentation and drill新授和操练
1. T利用和学生的对话引出young/ old和比较级
younger/ older的教学。
T: S1, How old are you?
S1: I’m 13 years old.
T: You’re 13. You are young. (单词卡片出示)
S2, How old are you?
S2: I’m 13, too.
T: You’re 13. You are young, too. (注意重复young)
教学单词 young
T(问一个12岁的学生): S3, How old are you?
S3: I’m 12.
T(对S3): S1 is 13. S1 is young, but you are 12,
you are younger. (重复两遍)
(对全班): S1 is 13. S1 is young, but S3 is 12,
S3 is ------younger. (让学生试着跟上)
教学单词 younger(单词卡片)
句子: S1 is young, but S3 is younger.
T: Boys and girls, you are all young. Look at this woman,
is she young?
Ss: No. She is old.
T: Yes, this woman is old, but that woman is ---- older.
教学单词old, older.
2. strong和比较级stronger的教学
T: The two women are old, is this man old?
(年轻而强壮的男士)
Ss: No. This man is young.
T: This man is also strong. Strong. (做握拳的动作)
学生跟着老师一起做,学说strong。
(加入各种人称I, you, he等)
利用图片比较教学stronger. 板书
试说句子:This man is strong,
but that man is stronger.
3. 句型操练 This ... is ..., but that ... is ...
(1) 出示图片和句型练说:This man is strong,
but that man is stronger.
This woman is old,
but that woman is older.
This boy is young,
but that girl is younger.
(2) 看图片拓展试说:This ... is ..., but that ... is ...
tall-taller, short-shorter,
long-longer, small-smaller
在学生说完句子后,
领读原级和比较级。
(3) drill 四人一组讨论后三幅图
(big-bigger, fat-fatter, thin-thinner)
Check
领读教学单词,做到词不离句。板书
4. heavy和比较级heavier的教学
利用呈现南瓜图片直观教学heavy和比较级heavier。
T: Look, this pumpkin is 3 kilos, It’s heavy.
But that pumpkin is 5 kilos, it’s heavier.
Listen again. Look, this pumpkin is heavy,
but that pumpkin is heavier.
教师示范,学生跟说。
教学单词heavy-heavier. 领说句子。
5. 操练句型
(1) 领读黑板上的形容词的原级和比较级。
(2)运用刚才所学句型和单词小组内学生进行交流。
T: Please look at the pictures and try to say sentences.
(3) Check (一幅图请2-3名学生说或集体说)
三、Practice and consolidation练习和巩固
1.游戏:
A:让学生快速反应读单词。
B:一学生说形容词其他同学说出比较级。
2. 小结形容词的原级和比较级
3. 在学生能正确朗读的基础上让学生看着板书
自己总结形容词比较级的变化规则。板书(注意补充)
四、布置作业:
1抄写形容词和他的比较级。
2 跟读录音,试说在书中B部分各图的句子。
