Unit 9 Breakfast
The Second Period
        【教学内容】
        《九年义务教育六年制小学教科书牛津小学英语》4B第九单元第二教时
        【教学目标】
    1、能正确地听、说、读、写词汇:a knife,a plate
    2、能正确地听、说、读词汇:a fork,a spoon,chopsticks, a bowl
    3、能正确地听、说、读、写句型:There’s no …in/ on/ near….
    4、能正确地听、说、读句型:Have some…then.
    5、复习句型:Where’s /Where’re the…? It’s /They’re….
    6、帮助学生了解西方国家的用餐礼仪。
        【教学重点】
    1、能正确地听、说、读、写词汇:a knife,a plate
    2、能正确地听、说、读词汇:a fork,a spoon,   chopsticks, a bowl
        【教学难点】
        能正确地听、说、读、写句型:There’s no …in/ on/ near….
        【课前准备】
    1、教具准备:多媒体课件
    2、教学准备:让学生自带一些与本课内容相关的食品饮料和中西餐具
如spoon, fork, knife, plate,bread, rice, cake, noodles etc.
    3、板书准备:准备好课题卡片: Unit 9 Breakfast
        准备好句型卡片: There’s no…in/on/near….
        Have some…then.
        Where’s /Where’re the …?
                      It’s/ They’re in /on/ near….
        【教学过程】
Step 1. Warming up
        Sing a song. <Where’s my little dog gone?>
Step 2.Revision
        T: Hello, everyone! I’m your new teacher today and I’m very happy.
         May I know your name?
      How old are you?
      What’s your hobby? Do you like playing football/swimming /eating?
        Me,too.
        OK! I have many foods and drink here. What would you like?
       S: I’d like…
       T: What’s for your breakfast,please? Can you tell me?
       S: Egg, milk,….
        T: There’s … on the table. Here you are. Have some…please.
      Or sorry, there’s no…on the table.
      Have some…then.
Step 3. Presentation and drilling
        1. Learn the sentences: Where’s /Where’re the…?
          It’s/ They’re in /on/ near….
          There’s no…in/on/near …
        T: I didn’t have breakfast today. So I’m hungry now. Shall we go to the kitchen?
        Ss: OK,let’s go.
          T: What can you see in the kitchen?
        Ss: I can see…./ There’s a fridge/table in the kitchen .)
        T: What would you like to eat?
        S1: I’d like….
(If the foods or the drink exit in the kitchen, then show the student a smiling face.(bananas,eggs,a cartoon of milk,some bread, a glass of juice) If they don’t exit in the kitchen, then show them a crying face, and T say : Sorry, There’s no…in the kitchen. Ss say after the teacher.   )
        T: Where’s /Where’re the…? Guess?
        S1: It’s/ They’re in/on/near the…, I think.
        T: Yes, there’s…in/on/near the….
      Sorry, there’s no…in/on/near the….
        (Ask the students to drill the two sentences.)
        2. Learn the new words: a bowl of rice, chopsticks, a spoon, a knife, a plate
    T: What would Miss Cao like? Guese?
      I’d like a bowl of rice. (Show the screen: a bowl of rice, drill the phrase group by group)
      I use chopsticks to eat rice. (Show the screen: chopsticks, drill from low to high)
      Look, this is a baby. He can’t use the chopsticks. He uses a spoon.
      (Show the screen: a spoon, drill one by one)
        Look, this is Nancy. She’s a foreigner. Now he’s/she’s having breakfast.
        What tools does she use?
        (Show the screen of a plate, a knife, a fork in turns, and teach the three new words.)
        Step 4. Practice and consolidation.
    1.Chant: 《Can I have…?》
        (Show the screen of a cup, a fork, a plate, a spoon, a glass )
        T: Now, boys and girls. Let’s say a chant.
        ⑴Listen to the chant.
        ⑵Say the chant together.
    2. Listen and do.


        3. Play the game: What’s missing?
Show the screen of a fridge. There is a carton of milk, a glass of juice, some bread and some eggs in it.
        There’s no bread in the fridge.
Show the screen of a cupboard. There is a plate , a knife, a fork, a bow in it.
There’s no plate in the cupboard..
Show the screen of a table. There is a bowl of rice,a bowl of noddles,a cup of tea, some apples in it.
        There’s no rice on the table.)
(Writing: Students look at the pictures and write down the sentences: There’s no…in/on the…. Then check it. )
   4. Design my kitchen.
        ①Tfirst give a model.eg. Look, this is my kitchen. There’s /There’re …in/on/near…. It’s so beautiful. I like it very much. Do you lke it? Teach “sink” “microwave stove”
        ②Ask the students to practise in pairs, then hang it on the blackboard and describe it.
Step 5. Homework
(Show the screen of a spoon, a knife, a glass, chopsticks, ask the students to choose one and open it )
