Step1 Warm up & Revision
1. Revision: magic eyes
2. Free talk(T takes out a flower, two paper butterflies, a candy)
T:What are these?/what’s this?
S1:They are…/It’s a…
T: Do you like…?
S1:Yes/No.
T: Here you are.
S1:Thank you.
Step2 Presentation
1. Elicit “like” through the free talk above.
Teach the word “like”: like (rice, nice)
Teach the sentence structure: I like…
2. show pictures of pies,hamburgers, carrots and cakes
Teach and practise: what do you like? I like…
3. say a chant: what, what?
What do you like?
Pies, pies,
I like pies.
4.practise the chant with”cakes”.
5.Repeat step2: 2~3 with [U.]
6.review the difference between [C.] and [U.]
7. practise the chant with”bread”.
8.T passes a piece of bread to S1 and says:” Have some bread,XXX.” Then teach the sentence:”have some…”
9.arouse Ss’ grateful attitude towards their parents, teachers and life.
10. read the dialogue.
Step3 practise
1.what does Xi Yangyang have in a day?
7:00 breakfast
(Lan Yangyang says)---have some bread, Xi Yangyang.
(Xi Yangyang says)--- Thanks. I like bread.
2.11:00 lunch (practise in the same way)
3.18:00 supper (practise in the same way)
Step4 Consolidation
1. read the dialogue together and then in roles.
2. given the menu, Ss are asked to make a dialogue of their own.
Step5.Homework
1. Say”thanks” to your parents when they serve you food.
2. recite partA and partB.
