Sing the song “angel’s watching over me” together.
Then sing the song a pencil.
3 quick respond
Take the four pictures : a banana, a pear, a peach, a mango.
Show the pictures quickly. See who is the first one to speak out the cards.
4 memory test
Show two of the pictures for a few seconds. Then ask the
Ss what they are.
Then three of the pictures. Say: who has the best memory?
Step 2 presentation
Take out a bag. And put a book into it. Ask the students: what’s in the bag?  The Ss will say ‘a book’. Then ask individuals : is this a book? Teach them to say Yes, it is.
Then put a pear into the bag and not let the students see what you’ve put. Say : guess! What’s in my bag now? is this a …?
Teach the students to ask Is this a …?
Get some students to have a guess. Is this a …? Then show the pear.
T: Is this a pear? Yes, it is.
Step 3 drills
Draw a peach on the Bb. Let the Ss guess is this a … while drawing.
Then ask is this a peach? The students answer yes, it is.
Then get some pairs to come to the front, point to the picture on the Bb, ask and answer.
Step 4  pair work
Into pairs. Use the picture of peach. Ask and answer:
Is this a peach?
Yes, it is.
Step 5 draw and ask
T: draw a banana on your paper, please.
Then into pairs , ask and answer:
Is this a banana? Yes ,it is.
Is this a peach? No, it isn’t.

Step 6 group work
Divide the class into groups of four. Ask each group draw the four kinds of fruit. Then ask and answer.
Is this a …?
Yes, it is.
No, it isn’t.
Step 7 play a game
Take out a bag. Put one word card into it. Ask the students to guess what it is. Using is this a …?
If he guess it right at the first time, get three points for his group.
For two times, one point.
Group competition. Cherry and apple. Guess one by one.
Step 8 say a rhyme
Show the picture of mango.
Ask: Is this a mango? Do you love it? Hmm, mango is sweet and  sour. I love it. Mango, mango ,I love you.
Get the students to repeat.
One for Tommy one for Joe.
Listen and repeat for three times.
Then groups competition. See which group can say it fluently.
Give some points for their work.
