Many teachers will tell you that they learn as much from their students as they teach. It involves, many things, learning to manage a classroom of students, learning to teach students with different learning styles, learning to provide an environment where children are intrinsically motivated to do their best, learning to contend with mountains of paperwork, learning to balance one's personal life and professionalwork.
As we know, effective teaching leads to effective learning, effective
learning leads to effective teaching. To make my class more interesting, I
have to read more books, know more about new film stars .songs that
students are talking or loving in their daily life. So I should get a
better understanding of every thing I need in my class.
Moreover, I have found that neither the classroom nor students are static. Students change from year to year, and class dynamics differ from one teacher to the next. Students do not all learn at the same pace. Some
students are more receptive to visual aids.
Also I feel learners and teachers are in a team. In the classroom I want to be able to do both of these things : to be the teacher with patience
and to give space to students to grow independently . I remembered we sat
together to disscuss the pictures on the textbook , then their ideas gave
me some new designs about my class. When I adapt their ideas in the class
teaching . The students look happy on their face, so do I . maybe you have
the same experience as me .
Through this experience, I realized that teaching is learning. learning is a lifelong process, so is teaching a lifelong journey of growth, we are no
longer the source of all information or control,we must give up that
control to students themselves. In this way ,we can learn from each other.
At last, hopefully, every teacher may enjoy an excellent day here.
