Step 1 Warm-up
T: Look at my coat.
S: It’s pretty.
T: Look at the girl’s clothes.
S: She looks so funny.
T: Yes. Her gloves are too big. Anything else?
S: Her jeans are two long.
S: The shoes are too big.
(While the students say these sentences, the teacher guides Ss to read them together or one by one.)
Step 2 Presentation
1. Show a picture of a boy.
T: What do you want to say about this boy?
S: He looks so funny.
T: Why?
S: His jacket is too small.
(Write “jacket” on the blackboard and ask Ss to read it after me together.)
S: His sweater is too big.
(Write “sweater” on the blackboard and ask Ss to read it after me together.)
2. Show a picture of a pretty lady.
T: How about this girl.
S: She looks pretty.
T: Good. Look at her shorts. They’re very nice.
(Write “shorts” on the blackboard and ask Ss to read it one by one.)
T: Look at the scarf.
S: It’s very pretty.
(Write “scarf” on the blackboard and ask Ss to read it one by one.)
T: Do you know whose scarf it is?
1. Show the first picture of part C.
T: Whose scarf is it?
S: It’s Yang Ling’s.
T: Read after me, please.
Step 3 Practice
1. Work in pairs and make dialogues of part C.
2. Ask pairs of Ss to give all the Ss a performance in the front of the classroom.
3. Give each pair some comment.
4. Review the words of part B. And ask Ss to read them after me.
5. Talk about the first picture of part D
T: Look at David. He is try to put on a small pair of socks. What do you want to say?
S: The socks are too small.
