This step is to form a better situation for the Ss by singing and speaking. They will come into the real surrounding of English learning , and it can also review the learnt knowledge for the next step。

| 这节课学习了B部分4个单词, 其中a kite在前一单元已经涉及,但是这个单词学生容易跟cat的发音混淆.所以是难点,还有balloon.这个的发音,很多学生最后n的发音要特别注意.

Say a chant together.

new words one by one, just with help of the CAI and the pictures; it can provide a real situation to understand the means of the words and to arouse the Ss’ interest in English learning.
The chants will help them get a better understanding of the new words and It’s … sturcture.

When I teach the word “kite” the students from Class 4 told me the word is like “bike” the letter “I i” pronounce the same.
S: Miss Yang the word balloon is like blue with an “n”
When I teach this word the students say so.
So I told the Ss you can memorize the word like this.

Ss Open their books and turn to page 27 then repeat after the tape. Then compete in small groups.
Play the words game.
Play a words game: look at the T’s mouth and guess what word is the T saying ?

Games can enrose Ss interest of learning English and help them to memorize the words better.
