二、        教学目标
1、        复习巩固形容词tall short young old heavy fat thin big small long strong及其比较级taller shorter younger older heavier fatter thinner bigger smaller longer stronger的用法。
2、        复习部分副词及其比较级early earlier late later far farther。
3、        复习巩固句型…taller than…. Is… taller than…?
三、        教学重点

Step 1. Review
1.        T: Let’s sing a song《I wish I was taller》.
2.        学生归纳总结形容词比较级的结构和变化方法。
3.        写出下列词的比较级：
1.strong _______    2.fat _______    3.young _______
4.old ________       5.long ______    6.well _______
7.nice _______        8.low ______     9.many_______
10.early ______     11.thin ______    12.far ________
Check their answers.
Step 2. Look match and say.
1.        出示第一幅图
（1）        T: Look! Helen and her partner are having a chat!
（2）        教师指导学生看图
Who can you see in the picture?
Can you say something about them?
（3）        Work in pairs
（4）        学生完成第一幅图。
（5）        学生朗读对话。
2.        同法学生完成2、3、4、幅图。
3.        T：work in pairs with your partner then act the dialogues.
学生任选一幅图表演。
4．学生自己改编对话进行表演。
Step 3. Complete and read.
1.出示Mike和 David的图片和他们的信息，让学生根据这些信息填空。
2.让学生用自己的话介绍图片。
4.        同法学生完成2、3、4、幅图。
Step 4. Make sentences.
1.呈现四个动物表演的图片，让学生根据图片造句。
鼓励学生用不同的句型进行造句。
Step 5. Complete the blanks.
1.出示两张表格，分别介绍Tom和Jim，要求学生根据表格填空。
2.Check their answers.(提醒学生第三题的答案不唯一，鼓励学生把不同的答案写出来)
3.让学生根据表格编写短文，介绍Tom和Jim。
Step 6.Look, read and respond.
1.        Finish Part B.
2.        Ask some students to write their answers on the blackboard.
3.        Ask the other students to check the answers.
4.        Work in pairs.
Step 7.Homework
1．完成D部分内容。
2. 整理第一单元语法，可分为单词、词组、句型、语法、语音等几个方面。
