Language focus:
1.     Using nouns to identify objects
2.     Using predicative adjectives of colour to describe objects.
3.     Asking ‘ wh- ‘ questions to find out various kinds of information about an object
Language skills:
Listen
Recognize differences in the use of intonation to differentiate between questions and statements.
Speaking ]
1.     Use modeled phrases and sentences to communicate with teacher and other learners
2.     Use appropriate intonation in questions and statements
3.     Open an interaction by eliciting a response.
Reading
Predict meaning of unfamiliar words by using context or picture cues.
Materials:
1.     Ss’ book 3B page 30.  2.Cassette 3B and a cassette player.

Step1 :Sing a song
who is wearing yellow today?




Step2 : Play a guessing game (riddles)
1.     panda 2. watermelon
3. rainbow
Teach the words :rainbow ,violet
4. Review the colours.




Step3 : Learn the new song :
The rainbow




4.Check the answers.



1.     Listen
2.Sing together
3.Write the words and number
the colours .


Step 4 : Presentation
1.T: Look at the picture.

2.Teach the sentence.(what colour is the …? It’s …  What colour are the…(s). They’re …)
3.Drill

Step5 : Practice

Depart the Ss to two groups, choose one student in one group, another group ask .

3) Let’s have a rest.
T: Do you like cartons?
Help the frog to colour the rainbow.
4) Listen and draw a picture, finish the blanks.
