My friend
I have a friend. His name is Wei Yufan. He is 13 years old. He is fatter than me, but I am taller than him. He is good at PE. He can jump farther than some of the boys in my class. But he doesn’t do well in English. So I often help him with his English. We are good friends.
My classmate
Wei Yue is one of my classmates. She is a girl. She is 13 years old. She is as old as me. She is the only child in her family. She is good at English and Maths, but she does not do well in PE. I’m stronger than her. So I run faster than her. We often get up early and do some exercise together before we go to school. She is very helpful. She often helps me with my homework. This is my classmate Wei Yue.
My family
There are five people in my family. They are my parents, my uncle, my aunt and I. My mother and my aunt both look young. They like shopping. My uncle is younger than my father, but he looks older. My uncle likes sport, so he’s stronger than my father. My name is ….  I’m a student, but I am as heavy as my father. I like making model planes.
Asking the way
A: Excuse me, can you tell me the way to the History Museum, please?
B: Go along this street, and then turn right at the third crossing. The museum is on your left. It’s next to the Bank of China.
A: Is it far from here?
B: No. It’s about a kilometre away. To get there faster, you can take bus No.5.
A: How many stops are there?
B: Only two.
A: Where is the bus stop?
B: It’s over there. There’s a bus every five minutes.
A: Thank you very much.
B: You’re welcome.
Four seasons in my hometown
There are four seasons in a year in my hometown. They are spring, summer, autumn and winter. The weather is very different in each season.
In spring, it’s warm and rainy. Everything begins to grow. We often fly kites and go rowing. It’s very beautiful. Summer comes after spring. It’s very hot, as hot as in Nanjing. People usually go swimming in the rivers. Autumn is the best season in my hometown. It’s cool, sunny and windy. The days get shorter and shorter and the nights get longer and longer. Autumn is a busy season, too. People like to go to farms in the countryside and pick apples. The coldest season is winter. I like winter best. Because I can make snowmen with my friends. It’s great fun.
My plan for this weekend
On Saturday, I’m going to get up at 7:40.
I’m going to read English and Chinese at 8:30.
I’ll finish my homework in the afternoon.
I’ll watch cartoons before I go to bed.
I’m going to learn how to play the piano on Sunday morning.
My mother’s birthday is coming soon. So I’ll buy some presents for her.

I have a penfriend. His name is Peter. He is 13 years old. He is an English boy. He lives in London. He has a brother and a sister. He likes listening to music and making model planes. We both have the same hobbies. He studies in a primary school in the USA. His favourite subjects are Maths and PE. So he often takes part in a sports meeting. 新教材中，从四年级的课本当中，大家就可以发现很注重学生的英文写作，这是对比旧教材之后很难的一个环节，所以在大家有了一定英语的基础之上了，我一般会在五六年级开设英文写作课来具体的跟孩子们讲述如何写好英语作文，包括格式 大小写 及正确的表达方式等等。那么讲完，有些孩子还不是那么明白，因为输入的还比较少，我就常常写些比较容易的范文给孩子们去读去记，久而久之了，大家的写作水平就有所提高，大家知道如何运用课文当中和老师给的范文去写作，因而会得到一个提高！
