= Tom is tallerthan any                               other boy in our class .

                            任何一个                      其他的，把Tom排除在外

= Tom is tallerthan any of the other boys  in our class.

= Tom is tallerthan the                                 otherboys  in our class .

剩下的全部                     其他的，把Tom排除在外

= Tom is tallerthan any others in our class .

不是一范围的：也就是说Tom isn’t  in  inour class时：

Tom is tallerthan any boy in our class .  去掉了other
