The First Period (Unit 7 B and C)

Preparation :
1 .准备一个时针和分针能自由活动的教具钟。
2 .请同学们各自带一个钟。
3 .准备C部分的图片。
4 .在黑板上写好课题:Unit 7 After school (B and C)
Teaching steps :
1. Free talk
2. Play a game :Bingo! Revise the number in English .
3. Presentation
Show the big clock to the students and set the time .
Ask :What time is it ? Help to answer : It`s …
Use “past” and “to” in the answer .Ask the students to watch and understand when we must use “past” and when we must use “to”.
4. Practice
Ask the students to take out their own clock and set the time .Encourage them to ask and answer in pairs .See which pair can do best.
5. Part B .Listen to the tape and repeat .
6. Consolidation
(1) I say the time and ask the students to set the time on the big clock .
(2) I set the time and ask the students to write on the blackboard . Have a competition .
7. Show the picture of PratC to the students and make up a dialogue with a student first :
S : What time is it ?
T : It`s a quarter past nine . It`s time for class .
Make sure the students understand the meaning .
8. Encourage the students to make up dialogues about the other three pictures .
9. Do pair work .Act out the dialogues .
10. Home work :
(1) Copy the words of Part B and the dialogues of Part C in their exercise books .
(2) Listen to the tape and preview Part A.
The second Period (Unit 7 A)
Teaching aims and demands :
1. 掌握对话中出现的四会单词。
2. 能正确理解,掌握A部分对话,并能朗读表演对话。

3. Write the title “Unit 7A Read and say ”on the Bb .
Teaching steps :
1. Sing a song `Do some exercise with me `
2. Revision
Revise `get up ,have breakfast ,watch TV ,do home work `by using pictures on small cards .
3. Present `wash one`s face `and `brush one`s teath `by using Pictures on small cards .
4. Presentation and practice
教师利用教具钟以What`s the time ? It`s …句型引导学生复习含有Past 和to 的表示时间的词组,设定6:30,6:45和6:50 三个时间。
T: What`s the time ?
S1:It`s half past six in the morning .
Help him or her to say : It`s time to get up .
T:What`s the time ?
S2:It`s a quarter to seven.
Help him or her to say : It`s time for breakfast.
T: What`s the time ?
S3:It`s ten to seven.
Help him or her to say :It`s time for school.
5. Put the three teaching pictures on the blackboard and say : It`s Thursday today .David has a lot of things to do .He`s busy ,He has no rest .Present `rest`and learn it .
6. Ask the students to look at the pictures and listen to the tape .
7. listen to the tape and repeat .
8. Get ready for pairwork and do it .
9. If time permits ,encourage some students to make up a similar dialogue .
10. Home work
(1) Listen and recite the dialogue of Part A.
(2) Preview Parts E and F.
The third period (Unit 7 E and F)
Teaching aims and demands:
1. 听懂,会说,会读并理解E部分 Look and read .
2. 能熟练地在情景中运用本课所学的句型和日常用语。

能正确运用句型San gets up at a quarter to seven 等。
Preparation
1. The picture of Part E.
2. Writer the title `Unit 7 After school (E and F)` on the blackboard .
Teaching steps:

Shall we begin our class ? OK
2. Revision
(1) Show the picture of PartA to the students .Encourage the students to describe the pictures with their own words .
(2) Make up a similar dialogue and act it out .
3. Look and read
Show the picture of Part E to the students
Look at the pictures ,ask and answer .
e,g Picture 1:What time is it ?
It`s a quarter to seven .
What does San do ?
He gets up .
Help them to say : Sam gets up at a quarter to seven .
Do the same with the other five pictures .
4. Encourage the students to describe the pictures by themselves.
5. Read all the sentences together again .
6. F Look and guess
Ask the students to look at pictures and read the dialogues .
Make sure they know how to play this game.
7. Ask two students to the front . One student says the time and the other student does an action . Encourage the other students to describe what he/she does every day .
e.g He brushes his teeth at a quarter past six .
8. Divide the students into small groups . Play this guessing game . Have a competition. See which group can do best . (可把学生分为三人一组,其中一个学生挂着一个没有钟针的钟面,用左右手分别表示时针和分针。另一个学生做动作,让其他学生猜他们所演示的时间和动作。)
9.Homework
(1) Recite the sentences of Part E.
(2) Ask the students to write something about what they do every day according to the time . Try to act it out in the next class.
The fourth period (Unit 7 D,G and H)
Teaching aims and demands .
1. .复习本单元所学词汇和现在进行时句型。
2. 听懂,会说,会读并理解句型I want to……。Do you want to join me?
3. 了解元音字母组合ar在单词中的读音。
4. 能熟练诵读歌谣`A clock`.
Important and difficult points:

Preparation:
1 .The tape and the recorder.
2 .The pictures of Part D
3 .The cards with the words `car ,park ,party ,star ,`
4 .Writer the title `Unit 7 After school ( D ,G and H) `on the blackboard.
Teaching steps:
1. Free talk
Show the clock to the students and have a dialogue with the students .
T: What time is it ?
S: It`s …
T: What do you do at …?
S: I…at…
Set the time at 7:50 Say : Look at the clock . It`s ten to eight .It`s time to have dinner . Have a shower before dinner . Make sure the students understand “shower”.
2 . H say a rhyme .
listen to the tape and learn to say it .
Ask some students to act it out in front of the class.
If time permits ,you can encourage the students to make
up a similar rhyme . Change the time and the action .
3 .Show the clock to the students again and make up another dialogue with the students .
T: What`s time is it ?
S: It`s …
T: I want to play cards . Do you want to join me ?
Make sure the students undersand the meaning of this sentence.
If the student says `Yes`. You may say `OK! Let`s play together .`
If the student say `No`. Ask :Why ?What are you doing ?
Help to answer : I`m doing my homework. Etc
Ask the students to practise the dialogue in pairs .They can change the words .
4 .Part D Work in pairs.
Ask the students to look at the picture and talk about them .Get ready for pairwork and do it .Check the answers .
5 .G Listen and repeat
(1) Show the cards to the students and ask them to read one by one .
(2) Listen to the tape and repeat and find out “ar /a:/”
(3) Listen and read the sentence .Make sure the students understand the meaning .
(4) Ask the students to read them together and then ask some one to read in class.
6 .Home work
(1) Copy the dialogues of Part D in their exercise books .
(2) Finish off the Workbook exercises. |
