Step 2 Presentation
1.    T: What do you usually do On Sundays?
S: …
T: I do some sports on Sundays. Do you like sports? I have some pictures of sports stars.
Do you know them?
2.    T shows pictures
a.    刘翔、罗雪娟、舒马赫、杨丽萍,杨扬
Teach: run fast
T: Does she run fast?
S: No, she doesn’t. But she swims fast.
Talk: drive fast, walk fast, skate fast
b.    刘璇 Present: walk carefully
When you do your homework, you should write carefully.
What other things should we do carefully?
Present: listen carefully, draw carefully, read carefully, look carefully
c.    拉拉队的图片 Present: speak loudly
Any other things we should do loudly?
Present: read loudly, sing loudly
d.    杨丽萍 Present: dance beautifully
e.    霍尔姆 Present: jump high
f.     常昊 Present: sit quietly
(Generally, most of the students are interested in sports, and many of them are the fans of the sports star, Presentation the new knowledge by the sports star can attract the Ss’ attention, curiosity, and interest. Add some other phrases can Borden their mind. )
3.    Read all the phrases together after the tape.
(Reading is an important skill for the students in grade 5, in daily teaching I also pay attention to the Ss’ reading skills, which can train the Ss’ good sense of English.)
4.    Play a game:” Act and guess.”
(Games are fun for children and are very useful and important for learning. It is not because they are fun. It is partly because fun elements create a desire to communicate and partly because games can create unpredictability. )

Step 3 Practice
1.      T: Ok, boys and girls, what do you usually do on …?
S1: I usually …
T: What does he/ she usually do on …?
S2: He/She usually…
T: Does …?
Ss: Yes, … does. /No, … doesn’t.
Write the structures on the blackboard.
Ask the students to read after the teacher several times.
B.    Show the pictures of part C
Make a model
Let the students make dialogues with other pictures.
Act
(This part is very important of the lesson. The Ss’ abilities of speaking and communication will be well trained. Use the CAI to set a real surrounding and encourage the Ss to communicate with the others. They can say loudly and freely. )

Step4 Production
1. What does your friend usually do on …? P lease go and interview the members in your group.
2.Do a survey
When the Ss do the interview, ask them finish the survey. Who runs fast? Who jumps high? Who jumps long? Please do a survey.

Sum up
3.Report : All the Ss ask: Does ? and one Group answer: Yes, he/she does./ No, he/she doesn’t.
(They will feel happy and successful during this part. By way of interviewing ,the Ss will understand the meaning of the structure better and master the knowledge firmly.)

Step 5 Assign homework
1.    Read all the phrases and copy them.
2.    Make phrases with fast, carefully, loudly.
3.  Prepare for Part A.
(Purpose of my designing: I think homework is so important that the Ss should speak English as much as they can in class or after class. It is necessary for the Ss to do some extensive exercises after class to consolidate the knowledge they learned. )

( A well organized board writing would help learners to realized what is important and what is not.)
