Welcome to the unit

Step1. Lead-in

   Use the weather forecast picture to talk about the weather signs.

Step2. Presentation

1. Teach adjectives about weather ( sunny, rainy,cloudy, snowy,windy, foggy)

2. Role-play: a weather reporter

3. Read some sentences to compare the nouns with adj.

wind - windy

rain  - rainy

snow - snowy

cloud - cloudy

fog - foggy

sun - sunny

4. Talk about seasons

  1) What seasons are there in a year?

  2)Which season do you like best? Why?

  3) Enjoy a short flash and read after it.

  4) Fill in the form and say some sentences.

I like .... It’s .... It’s the best time to...

seasons	weather	It’s the best time to ...

5. Listen to Part B and answer questions:

  1) Which season does Simon like best? Why?

  2) Which season does Amy like? Why?

6. Read the dialogue together/ in roles.

7. Make a new dialogue

8. Listen to the comic and answer :

  1) What does Eddie want to do ?

  2) How does Eddie look with the clothes?

9. Discuss the two “cool”.

10.Act the dialogue

Step3.Conclusion  

1. Summary

2. Enjoy some proverbs and learn to treasure time.

Step4. Homework

   Write a short passage about your favorite season.
