1. Greetings
2. T: Who’s on duty today?
Step 1.Free talk
To act a short play
Teacher : Would you like to say something about the play?
Step 2. Presentation:
1. T: What the date today?
S: It’s 24th Dec.
T: Yes ,tomorrow is Christmas day. Are you happy?
S: Yes.
T: Spell the word happy.
T; What makes you happy?
Ss: I receive a postcard. I’m happy.
2. T: What makes you sad?
Ss: I lost my dog. I’m sad.
T: Show me sad and spell it.
S: What’s the matter? ( ask s one by one )
3. Introduce bored and sad.
Use the two words to make some sentences.
4. Introduce the word angry.
Draw the pictures on the blackboard.
To say more words about the feelings.
Eg: mad shy hungry awful scary surprise excited etc
Ask the students to read these words loudly.
T: Pay more attention to your classmates’ feelings.
Step 3. Read the sentences on page 34.
Group work.
1. Ask the students to read the questions on the screen and answer the questions according to the test.
Listen to the tape and find ‘ sad ,bored ,’ and read after the tape..
To ask and answer. (boys ask, girls answer.)
2. Do the exercises on the students book. Page 36.
Ask the students to show their answer. Then the teacher say the correct answer.
3. Watch the TV play of Liu Xiang.
T:Say something about Liu Xiang.
Ss: Liu Xiang is happy.
He is the pride of China.
He is tired.
I’m proud of him.
4. T: I’m thirsty. I want to drink. Tell me more about your feelings.
Ss: When my teacher is ill, I ‘m sad.
I played with my friends.
5. Draw or write something about your feelings.
Teacher writes down her own feelings. Show it on the slide.
Let the kids show their paper to the other students.
Ss: I ‘m very poor. I’m very sad.
I played the computer game. I was very happy.
Put the paper in the books. Please share the feelings with your parents your friends or your classmates.
T: That’s all for today. And I want to say “Merry Christmas.”
Ss: Merry Christmas. Bye.

Step 1. Introduce the teacher herself.
Show the name card to the kids. And ask “What’s my favorite food/ color.
T: Tomorrow is Christmas Day. What are you going to do?
T: Because Christmas Day is coming. I’ve got lots of presents.
Step 2 To learn the new words: (Look at the screen.)
1. Introduce “teapot” Whose teapot is this? ( show the picture)
It’s his.
2. Look at the scarf on the screen and ask, “Whose scarf is this ?”
It’s hers.
2. Introduce “ gloves” and use the same way to ask.
Introduce the way to answer: They are his gloves. They are his.
3. Introduce “mine , yours ”
This is my comb. It’s mine.
This is your watch. It’s yours.
5. Go over these words:
Talk about the presents.
Ask the kids to ask and answer in pairs.
S1: Whose …is this?
S2: It’s mine/ yours/ hers/ his.
6: Teacher ask and the kids answer.
7. The kids show the teacher their presents. Then talk about the presents in groups.
Eg: Whose music box is this? It’s….
You all did a good job today.
Step 3 To learn the dialogue.
1. Look at the pictures and the dialogue on the screen. Then filing the blanks.
2. Listen to the tape and look at the screen..
3.Answer the questions according to the dialogue.
T: Where are Sam and Amy’s T-shirts?
T: They are on the line.
T: Pay attention to the word: both
Ask the kids to read the word “both ”after the teacher.
Both of their T-shirts are on the line.
4.The teacher retells the dialogue. Ask the students to try to do that too.
Prepare for some minutes. Then say it out.
4. Open the books and read the dialogue by the students themselves. Once.
5. Sing a Christmas song.
