一、教学目标
认知目标:
1. 能听说读写单词family, thing, need;
2. 能听懂,会读,会说buy ,Halloween, mask, pumpkin lanterns, tomorrow
3. 了解万圣节的有关知识。

能力目标:
1.让学生通过本课学习,掌握表达“爱好、需要”的交际功能的方式。
2.让学生通过课前收集万圣节的资料和本课学习,培养学生跨文化交际的意识和能力。
情感目标:
1.让学生通过课前收集万圣节的资料和本课学习,进一步激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
2.培养学生团队合作的意识和与他人交往的能力。
二、教学重点
能正确理解并掌握对话内容,并能初步表演对话。
三、教学难点
能比较流畅地朗读对话,并能在掌握对话内容的基础上进一步表演对话。
四、教学准备
1、布置学生搜集有关万圣节的资料。
2、准备教学挂图,写了新单词的小黑板。
五、学生情况分析
本节课是在学生学完B,C部分的基础上教学的,这时学生对A部分对话中的大部分单词和句型: Do you like…? Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.已经掌握。同时学生在四年级已学过有关购物的句型,为本课学习购物打好了基础。
六、教学过程
Step1、Free talk
1、 Free talk
T:What’s in your pencil case?
T:Is there a computer room in your school?
T:Are there any teachers in you classroom? How many teachers are there?
T:I can skate. What can you do? Can you play the violin?
I T: like ducks. Do you like ducks? What do you like
2、play a game
T:What’s this?
S:It’s an apple.
T:Do you like apples?
S:Yes, we do.
T:Can you eat the apples with your mouth ?(with no hands)
每组派一个代表来玩游戏,获胜者可获得奖品。
[设计意图]:
师生交谈再现生活中的情境,促使学生运用前两单元学过的句型与教师自然地进行交流。本活动既可以帮助学生复习和巩固已学知识,又可培养学生的语言运用能力。游戏能调动学生的积极性,激发学生的学习兴趣。
Step2、Presentation
一、 Halloween
1、T: Boys and girls, do you know what festival is on June 1st?
S: 儿童节
T: Children’s Day!
T: What festival is on September 10th?
S: Teachers’ Day!
T: What festival is on October 31st?(10月31日)
S: 万圣节
T: Today we’ll learn Unit4 Halloween.
S: Read ‘Halloween’.
[设计意图]:
从学生了解的节日入手,引出本课主题‘Halloween’,过渡自然,创设了真实的情境,为学生营造了轻松、愉快的课堂氛围,使学生快速进入学习状态。
2、T: Can you say something about Halloween in Chinese?
S: 根据自己所查阅的资料,说一说。
T: 做适当的补充。
[设计意图]:
说一说有关‘Halloween’的风俗习惯,一方面有助于学生了解有关西方的文化,另一方面为后面的学习做好铺垫。
二、1、T: So we need a lot of things for a Halloween party.
教学新单词: ‘need’ ‘thing’
2、T: What do we need?
S: We need …(根据刚才对万圣节的介绍说) (教师将学生说的物板书好)

引出: ‘What do we need?’ ‘pumpkin lantern ’
[设计意图]:
有介绍万圣节的风俗习惯入手,一步步引出新单词‘need’ ‘thing’ ‘pumpkin lantern ’和新句型‘What do we need?’让学生在真实的情景中掌握所学内容。
3、T: Halloween is coming. We need some sweets、some chocolate、some fruit、some masks、and some pumpkin lanterns for a Halloween party. Now let’s go to the supermarket and buy these things, OK?
T: Now I’m the shop assistant. You can come here and buy something.
(师提供句型,请两名好学生上前示范。)

[设计意图]:
通过让学生自编对话,既巩固所学新单词和句型,也训练了学生在情景中使用所学单词和句型的能力,为学生理解本课对话大大降低了难度。
三、Part A

2、T: Yes. They are Ben and his family.
教授新单词‘family’
T: They are in the sitting-room. They are talking about Halloween. What do they need?
Let’s listen to the tape, then finish this table:
出示表格:

[设计意图]:
让学生看图,理解图意,有助于学生理解对话;让学生带着问题去听录音,既训练了学生听的能力,也使学生更能集中注意力,教师也能根据学生的回答中判断学生是否听懂了录音。

补充Children’s Day这一新词汇,拓展了学生的知识面,是对所学内容的有效扩充。

本活动以学生真实的生活为场景,通过小组活动的形式,引导学生学会运用所学句型,训练了学生的语言组织能力和语言表达能力,也培养了学生的小组合作精神。
