Unit 2  Nice to meet you
Teaching content:
本单元日常交际用语主要围绕“介绍”和“问候”编排的。第一单元是自我介绍,本单元是介绍他人。教学时,宜将意义上相互关联的两个句型同时介绍给学生。这样,既有助于教师在教学过程中复习已学过的知识,又有利于引入新的内容。
在第一单元所教的基础上,本单元又新增了三种较为正式的问候语。教师在教授新知识的过程中,应注意内容的连贯性和完整性。
Teching aims:
1 Can listen,say and use the expressions in daily communication:

  Good morning.
  Good afternoon.
  Nice to meet you.
  Nice to meet you,too.
2 Can know these four persons:Miss Li, Mr Green, Wang Bing,Helen.
3 Can listen and say the words:
  black  white  red  yellow  blue  green  brown  orange
4 Sing a song <<Hi,Nancy!>>

Teaching procedure:
Step  1:Free talk
1. The  teacher wears the masks of animals :ask :Hi/Hello ,I’m a bird/(a dog, a tiger),
What’s your name?
The student answers: Hi/Hello ,I’m…
2. Students wear the masks of  animals
①Practise in pairs (同桌练习)
②Group  work (小组练习)
Step 2 Presentation and pratice .
1. Learn  to  say :Nice to meet you ./Nice to meet you ,too .
a. The teacher wears the mask of a monkey .
Say :Hello ,I’m a monkey .Nice to meet you .
(教师走到几个学生面边握手边说Nice to meet you )
b. Read the sentence after me .
c. T says :Hello ,I’m a monkey ,Nice to meet you ,S says :Nice to meet you ,too.
d. Practice .
T&S                        S&S                        Group work (连锁操练,每完成一段对话,双方击掌三次,以增强练习的趣味性。)

Miss Li/ Mr Gree… says : Nice to meet you ,too.
3. Learn to say :Good morning, Good afternoon .
a. T draws two clocks  in the blackboard ,T says: 从早上起床到12点,见面打招呼时说:Good morning, 从中午12点以后到傍晚6点说: Good afternoon .
b. Read after me :Good morning /Good afternoon ,Wang Bing(……)

4. Group work (游戏:抛球)
游戏方法:全班分成四组,老师向每组抛一个小皮球,接到皮球者可以走到另一名学生跟前,用学过的交际用语进行会话,完毕,该生继续抛球。
游戏目的: 1)鼓励学生大胆使用英语。2)培养学生意识。3)增强学习的趣味性。

Step 5 consolidation :
1. The students wear the masks (Miss Li ,David ,Liu Tao)
e.g      Liu  Tao says :Good morning, Miss Li ,this is David .
         Miss Li says : Nice to meet you ,David .
         David says: Nice to  meet you ,too .
2. Listen to the tape and read .
Step 6  Homework:
1. Listen to the tape and read loudly.
2.Review the letters:Ee  Ff  Gg  Hh.
3. Copy the sentence: Nice to meet you.
