2、能听得懂、会说、会读日常交际用语和句型：Are you free now?/How about…?/Can you come and help…with…?/See you this afternoon.
3、能正确地运用所学句型进行交际对话。
4、在听、做、说、唱、玩、演中培养学生的学习兴趣和运用英语进行交际的能力。

Steps:
Step i: warm up
T: I’m your new teacher. So I’ll introduce myself. Look! This is my resume.
(say something about the resume) how about you?
T: I like blue. What do you like? S: I like yellow.
T:I like Maths . Do you know Maths? (teach Maths)  S:I like …
T:I like singing. What do you like?  S: I like …
T: can you ..? … please.   S: (do)
T: Look! What is .. doing?  S: He/She is …
T:I like singing. So let’s sing together. Ok?
(sing the song together)
Step2: presentation
(1)        ring ,how about…? Free.
(the telephone is ringing)
T: Well done, boys and girls!  Oh! Listen! What’s this?
S: the telephone is ringing!
T: But I can’t answer the telephone. Why? Are we free now?
S:  No. We are having an English lesson.
T: Are you free now?  S: (act and answer) No. I’m …(teach : free)
T: How about Wang Lihong?  S: he’s playing the violin.
T: How about Mickey?   ….
(work in pairs)
(2)        do homework ,help … with …
T: Look at me! Am I free now? S: No. you’re cleaning the desk.
T: Yes. But it’s so dirty. Can you come and help me? S: Ok .
(teach: help  come and help me)
(I’m … can you come and help me?  Ok.   Work in pairs)
T: look! What am I doing?   S: You’re writing.
T: Yes, I’m doing my homework. (do homework)
T: What subject ? S: Maths.
T: But I can’t do it. Can you come and help me with my maths?  S: Ok .
  (a student come to the blackboard and help)
T: Thank you. You’re the Maths expert in our class. Stand here please!
(Teach: help … with …  )
T: Who needs help?   S1: I’m doing my homework. Can you come and help me with my maths?   S2: ok. T: but is he free now?   S: No.  T: So how about this afternoon?
(teach: How about this afternoon?)  S: Ok.
(invite the English expert and the Chinese expert to the platform. The other students ask them to help )
T: who needs help with Maths ? Stand up please!  (S-S) (English , Chinese the same)
(3)        Is that …?  Yes, speaking.
T: look! This is my English homework. Can you help me with my English?
S: Sorry, I can’t.  
T: So I’ll call my good friend Lily. (Use the telephone)
T: Hello. Is that lily?   (can’t call)
T: can you help me to call him?  S: Hello , Is that Lily?  (3 times)
T: let’s call her together!   …
(recorder: yes, speaking)
T: hi , lily . are you free now?   RE: I’m watching TV. How about you?
T: I’m doing my English homework. Can you come and help me with my English?
RE: OK. How about this afternoon?    T: Ok. See you.   
T: Lily will help me this afternoon.  (practice: is that …?  Yes , speaking.)
(S-T Practice the diolague.) (work in pairs to ask for help)
(4) passage
T: Wonderful, boys and girls! So let’s play a game (magic eyes)
(let the student say something about the picture: Nancy is … Su Hai is …  Su Yang is …)
T: What are they doing?   (teach: do housework)
T: You’re so clever. Let’s do some exercise.
(listen to the tape and judge : true or false) (try to retell the passage)
Step3 Consolidation
Expert on line.
(Beibei:  makes model planes very well)(Huanhuan: makes beautiful puppets)
Try to call them and ask them to help you with your model planes\puppet.
