2.让学生通过本课学习,培养学生跨文化交际的意识和能力。

1.让学生通过本课学习,进一步激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
2.培养学生团队合作的意识和与他人交往的能力。

Step 1. Free talk
1、Warm up:

Step 2. Presentation
一、时间导入,介绍万圣节(Introduction)
1、What’s the date? It’s Oct.31st. It’s Halloween.
Teach “Halloween”
Read the word one by one.
2、Introduce the festival “Halloween”
在西方国家,每年的10月31日,有个“Halloween”,辞典解释为“The eve of All Saints ‘Day”,中文译作:“万圣节之夜”。万圣节是西方国家的传统节日。这一夜是一年中最“闹鬼”的一夜,所以也叫“鬼节”。 (教师进行英文解说,)
3、Watch a short film about how the students celebrate Halloween
4、Halloween is coming soon. So we will have a Halloween party, too.
What do we need? (Guess according the introduction.)
5、Learn “need” : read and say
6、Ask and answer

二、学习万圣节所需的物品(Let’s see what things we need to prepare.)
1、Learn “ mask ” : Read and say “ four masks”
2、Learn “Do you like masks? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.”
3、Read and practice.
4、Introduce “mask” (丑陋的面具)
5、Learn candle and vase in the same way and practice the drill, too.
6、Learn “ lantern” :Read and say
7、Introduce “pumpkin lantern” and“Jack-O-Lantern”
8、Introduce how to make a pumpkin lantern
a. We should prepare some tools:a pumpkin, a candle,a spoon and some knives.
b. We will make a pumpkin lantern:three steps
Cut and dig a hole——Carve a face——put a candle in it
Step 3. Consolidation
1、Halloween is coming, if we will have a party,what should we prepare?

2、Practice:Do you like …?
Yes, I do./No, I don’t.

3、Halloween is coming. Let’s make a dialogue
Eg:A: Halloween is coming.

A: Let’s buy a/some......
B: Ok./Great.
4、Say a chant “Pumpkin,pumpkin song”

1、Prepare the things you need for the Halloween Party. (Pumpkin lantern, mask…)
