Part A  知识再现
I. 句子:
1. Where’s my camera? 我的照相机在哪里？
It’s in your bag.在你包里。
Where引导的疑问句，通常用含有介词的句型来回答。我们学过的介词有in, on, under, behind, between等等，在回答时应注意单复数的对应。
例句：Where are my shoes? 我的鞋在哪里？
       They are behind the door. 在门后面。
2. It isn’t here. 它不在这里。
It was there a moment ago.它刚才还在那里。
第一句话是一般现在时，表示现在的状态。第二句话用一般过去时表示说话之前的状态。注意句子中be动词的变化。
例句：I am in Nanjing now. But I was in Suzhou yesterday.
我现在在南京，但昨天我在苏州。
3. Let me see.让我看一看。
  这个句子在不同的情况下有不同的含义。在本课中，苏海问苏洋胶卷是否在她书包里，回答就译为“让我找一找”。有时也可以翻译为“让我想一想”。
  例句：What’s thirty-six plus fifty-seven? 36加57等于多少？
        Let me see. It’s ninety-three. 让我想一想。是93。
4. Can you pick them up for me, please? 你能为我拣起它们吗？
这是请求别人帮忙时的用语。直接用“Can you”加上想要对方做的事情。这种句型也可以用“Would you please…?” 或 “Would you…, please?”句型代替。
II. 语法
1．一般过去时：
  一般过去时是表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，常和表示过去的时间状语连用，如yesterday, this morning, last night, three months ago等。例句：I was late this morning. 我今天早上迟到了。
2. 关于be动词
  动词be的过去式为was和were，第一人称单数和第三人称单数用was,其余用were.
①肯定形式：
I was…,
You were…,
He/She/ It was…
We/ You/ They were…
②否定形式：
I was not/wasn’t…
You were not/ weren’t…
He/She/ It was not/wasn’t…
We/You/ They were not/ weren’t…
③ 一般疑问句及肯定和否定回答
Was I…? Yes, you were. / No, you weren’t.
Were you…? Yes, I was. / No, I wasn’t.
Was he/ she/ it…? Yes, she/she/it was. No, he/she/it wasn’t.
Were they…? Yes, they were. / No, they weren’t.
④特殊疑问句形式：
特殊疑问词+was/ were+主语+其它成分。
例句：Where were you yesterday? 昨天你在哪的？

                 Our school library
   This is our school library. It’s a busy place. It’s open from 8:30 to 11:30 in the morning and from 2:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon.
   Our school library isn’t very big. Only three assistants work there. In the library we can find all kinds of books. But few of them are in English. We often come here and borrow or return books after class.
   When we borrow books, we must obey the library rules. We can borrow only one and keep it for two weeks. If we can’t finish it in time, we may come and renew it. There’s a reading-room in the library. It’s bright and clean. We can read magazines and newspapers there, but we can’t take any of them out.

                  吹灭生日蜡烛的由来
   每个人过生日总喜欢与亲朋好友坐在一起，吹灭插在蛋糕上与自己年龄相等的生日蜡烛，同唱《祝你生日快乐！》歌，然后分享蛋糕。
   据说吹蜡烛这一风俗最早始于古希腊。在古希腊，人们对月亮女神阿尔特弥斯十分崇拜，每年都要为她举行生日庆典，在祭坛上供放用面粉和蜂蜜做成的蛋糕，上面还插有很多点亮的蜡烛。他们将烛光比作月亮的清辉，以表示对月亮女神特殊的崇拜之情。
    后来古希腊人在庆贺自己孩子的生日时，也喜欢在桌上摆上蛋糕，插上许多点亮的小蜡烛，从而还增加了吹灭蜡烛的活动。他们相信，燃烧的蜡烛具有某种神秘的力量，当过生日者在心中默默许下一个心愿时，一口气吹灭所有的蜡烛，便可如愿以偿。
