牛津小学英语5A Unit4 Halloween (Part A)
Step1. Preparation:
1.        Free talk: What’s the weather like today? How many students are there in our class? What’ on your desk? What do you like? Do you like watching cartoons?
2.        T: Ok, let’s watch the cartoon together.师生共同欣赏一段关于万圣节的卡通片。
T: What festival is it? (PPT同步呈现问题,并注解festival的含义为“节日”)
Ss: It’s Halloween.
T: Right. It’s Halloween. You’ve got the right answer from the cartoon. In this class, we will learn Halloween. (揭题,教授新词Halloween) Next, I will introduce Halloween to you.
设计意图:师生间自由的口语交际,为接下来的教学创设了良好的氛围。播放以万圣节为主题的卡通片,给学生以视觉的享受和冲击,充分调动了学生的学习积极性。同时,切入话题,介绍万圣节。

Step2. Presentation﹠Practice
1. 教授mask
A. The teacher takes out the mask.
T: It’s a mask. Now, look at these. There are two masks. Do you like masks?
Ss: Yes. T: Please wear masks.
B. 板书mask,并跟读。
2. 教授vase
A. T: Wearing the mask, you look so cool. I like masks and I like flowers, too. Look, there are some flowers, where can I put them in? (教师拿出实物,并将花插入花瓶中) Oh, a vase. I can put these flowers in a vase.
B. 板书vase, 并跟读。
3. 教授 pumpkin lantern
A. T: At Halloween, children would like to have a pumpkin lantern.(呈现图片) Now, we don’t have any pumpkin lanterns. But it doesn’t matter. We can make a pumpkin lantern. Do you know how to make a pumpkin lantern? Please look carefully.教师用事先准备好的南瓜和蜡烛制作一个简易的南瓜灯。
B. 板书a pumpkin lantern, 并跟读。
设计意图:运用图片、实物等多样化的形式呈现、操练本课新词,直观形象。
4. 教授句型What (else) do you need? We need…
A.(PPT呈现一副万圣节聚会的图片)
T: Look at this picture, what are they doing?
S: They are having a Halloween party.
T: Yes, they are having a Halloween party. If you have a Halloween party, what do you need? What else do you need? (板书句型,并跟读)We need…
B. Students discuss in groups, then present.
设计意图:前面大量交流的基础上,自然将话题转至万圣节聚会,水到渠成,由交际的需要引出本课重点句型What (else)do you need?过渡巧妙,衔接紧密。

Step3. Read and Say
1. T: Look at this picture, who are they? Where are they? What date is it? (PPT同步呈现问题)
S1: They are Ben and his family S2: They are in the sitting-room. S3: It’s October 30th.
T: And tomorrow is October 31st, Halloween is coming. They want to buy things. (板书buy things,并跟读)
2. T: What do they need? Let’s listen to the text and circle the things.教师向每位学生提供一张事先印制好的购物单。Then check the answers.









3. T: You all did a good job. Next, please read the text and try to find the answers.(PPT呈现问题)
What does Ben like? What does Ron like? What masks do they like? How much are they?

4.T: Look at the screen, there is a chant with some blanks. Please complete them.(PPT呈现一首缺词的韵律诗,学生先填空,再根据事先录制好的节奏朗读。)

Ron likes masks.
What do they buy? What do they buy?
Some chocolate, some flowers, some masks, a lantern and a vase.

设计意图:紧紧围绕“Halloween”这一主题,经历了整体感知——局部细致分析——不同角度、不同形式的再次整体呈现语篇的整——分——整的教学过程。利于学生多方位、多角度的审视、理解语篇。对于学生理解能力、综合语用能力的培养大有裨益。最后用韵律诗的方式,归纳、总结本节课的重点内容,简洁明了,形式欢快。

Step4. Consolidation
1.T: Please underline the sentences what the assistant said.用下划线画出售货员所说的句子,并提醒学生注意语音语调。
2.为学生提供一张圣诞节购物单,用给出的句型,分小组进行角色扮演。
Tips:












设计意图:采用任务型教学途径,完成为圣诞节聚会购买东西的任务,要求学生在小组合作中进行。讨论需要什么,再模拟真实的售卖与选购,在角色扮演中,发展综合语用能力。
