3. Be able to understand the Pronunciation of noun plural.

Teaching steps:
Step1. Warm up
1. Sing “Good morning”, “how are you ?”
2. Greeting (同位之间练习,自由锁链反应)。
Hello /Hi,…                         Good morning/ Good afternoon.
Nice to meet you,…         Nice to meet you,too.
3. Introduce
Please introduce your family members to your deskmate. Practice in pairs .
4.        review animals
a. Show cards of “a dog, a cat, a tiger, a monkey”.
T: What's this?
S1: It's a dog.
S2: It's a cat.

Step2 Presentation
1. Learn to say the new word: mangoes.
Draw a mango on the blackboard.
T: What is it?
S1: It's a mango.
T: Very good. Read after me “a mango”.
Ss: a mango
(Read the word one by one)
b. Draw three mangoes on the blackboard. Ask them how to say.
S2: three mango
S3: mangoes
T: 让学生比较哪种说法对。
S4:mangoes
(解释意思都是对的,第一位同学很聪明,知道用three来表示,只是一个芒果时我们说a mango,而两个以上,不问几个时我们可以用mangoes, some mangoes,后面要加es,如果要问清楚几个时,三个芒果我们就说three mangoes.但是特别要注意的是,两个以上时,mango后面要加es的,表示复数,不过一般情况只加s,而mango后面要加es,在接下来的学习中,我们就会遇到了。)
c.指导朗读a mango, mangoes
让学生反复读,自己体会单数和复数读音上的不同。
2. Learn to say the new word: bananas.
a. Draw parts of a banana on the blackboard. Let students guess what fruit is it.
T: Can you guess what is it?
S1: Orange
S2: Watermelons
S3: …
S4: …
T: Draw a whole banana.
Ss: banana(all the students say the word at the same time.)
b. 指导朗读banana
c. Read the word one by one.
d. Draw three bananas on the blackboard. Ask them how to say.
S2: Bananas
让学生反复读banana,bananas,自己体会单数和复数读音上的不同。
3. Use the same way to teach “a pear, pears” “a peach, peaches”
解释peach的复数不是加s,以ch结尾的要加es.

Step3 Practice
1. Pass the picture of a banana and say “banana” one by one.
Show a banana and say :“this is a banana”.
Use the same way to practice other new words.
2. Look and say the other words.
3.“碰地雷”。游戏方法:教师将一枚地雷图随机的贴在这4个单词之一下面,师领读4个单词,生跟读,利用学生的触觉、嗅觉让学生来巩固,但碰到“地雷”时就不能跟读了,否则将遭受“地雷轰炸”。
4.单复数词朗读比赛,分成4小组,看哪组最棒,提高学生积极性。

Step4 Consolidation
1.  Play a game.
T: Let's play a game. There are some fruit in my bag, I want one student to come to the blackboard,touch and guess, If you're right ,I'll give you some fruit.
e.g Ss: apples?
S1: Yes.(or no)
2. What can you see?
Show the picture of PartD (Play a game)
T: I can see an apple. What can you see?
S1: I can see a pear.
S2: I can see a peach.
T: I can see some peaches.(反复说这句话,提示学生一些时用some表示)
S3: I can see some bananas.
S4: I can see some pineapples
S5: I can see some …
3. Listen to the tape and repeat.
Once: Only listen. Twice: Listen and repeat.
4.        Check the answer.

Step5 Homework:
1.        Read the new words for 15 minutes.
2.        Read after the tape for 10 minutes.
3.        Try to recite the four words: apple, banana, pear, peach.
