(一) Greetings and sing a song
Happy New Year
【设计意图】上课一开始,课堂上就响起了美妙的音乐,师生跟着音乐一起唱这首歌曲。同时老师可以根据情况,对歌曲进行改编。通过唱歌,改编歌词,激发学生学习积极性,活跃课堂气氛。
(二) Free talk

【设计意图】 运用前几堂英语课所学习的日常用语,师生之间展开情景对话交流。通过师生之间的自由对话,对所学语言的情景运用,拉近师生之间的距离,营造宽松,民主,和谐的教学氛围。并为后面展开的对话做下铺垫。
(三) Review the holidays
1. T: What holiday is it ?
S1: It’s Children’s Day.
T: When is Children’s Day ?
S1: It’s on the 1st of June .
T: We can say “It’s in June.” in + month
What do you usually do on Children’s Day?
S1: We usually sing and dance.
T: How about you ?
S2: We usually have a big birthday party.
【设计意图】在屏幕上呈现一副图画,内容为儿童们在庆祝自己的节日。通过学生自己的节日形象直观地呈现教学内容,使会话内容真实可感,具体生动,从而加强学生的视听感受,促进学生的理解和应用能力。

(四) Presentation
1. T : Do you want to know what holiday I like very much?
S: Yes.
T: Can you guess? Please use “Do you like…?
S: Tina, do you like …?
T: Let me tell you. I like Halloween very much.
When is Halloween ? (板书)
S: It’s on the 31st of October.
T: Very good. It’s in October.
What do people usually do at Halloween? (learn: at + holiday / people)
S: They usually make pumpkin lanterns and buy some masks.
T: Yes. Do you want to know what do I usually do on that day? Please guess.
S: Do you usually …?
T: I also dress up in costumes. (learn: also dress up in costumes)
【设计意图】为了避免教学手段的雷同,为了激发学生的兴趣,我用切身为题,通过让学生猜一猜老师节日里干了什么,来打开学生迫切想知道老师为什么喜欢这个节日的谜团。这样的安排一来使学生有新鲜感,二来使学生熟练运用本课重点句型。
2. T: Here’s another foreign holiday.

【设计意图】 课件:介绍复活节的由来,让学生带着问题有目的地听,由整体感受过渡到具体细节的捕捉,从而培养学生整体和细节的感知能力。

S: They usually eat chocolate eggs and colour the eggs.

【设计意图】在新授单词festival和Mid-Autumn的发音时,我用分解音节读法突破难点。先把单词分成小音节,再合起来学习整个单词,以确保每个学生能正确地读出这两个生词。这样一来,分解认读比整个认读要易于学生掌握。
4. T: Look, here are two Chinese festivals.

【设计意图】 课件:播放春节的flash, 生动有趣的动画片深受学生喜欢,播放一段与本课新授知识有关的动画片,既渲染了课堂气氛,又让学生对本课要学的新知识有一个整体的感知。

S: They usually eat a lot of delicious food and visit their relatives.

【设计意图】在新授本课单词,词组时,以现代化电教手段——多媒体辅助教学,贯穿整个教学过程,增加了教学内容的直观性和趣味性,加大了课堂密度,提高了教学效果。

【设计意图】游戏操练,打铁趁热。这一步是新授内容强化操练,为帮助学生进一步巩固所学新的语言点,我设计了三个小游戏:1,看一看,猜一猜:课件上出现一些有关节日的图片,如:国旗图,春联图,粽子图等让学生迅速猜出节日名称;2,听一听,猜一猜:播放鞭炮声,新年序曲等,学生迅速猜出节日名称;3:读一读,猜一猜:学生快速阅读描述节日的英文短篇,学生根据生活经验迅速猜出节日名称。在新授节日活动后,设计以上三组游戏,通过多媒体课件的运用,学生听,看,说,猜,丰富他们的感受,游戏难度有层次,逐步增强挑战性。竞争能激发学生的求知欲与学习兴趣,而且容易带动课堂气氛,在竞争中人人有一种不甘落后,积极向上的精神,有利于学生的学习,并将热情推向一个小高潮。

【设计意图】通过对日期,节日和事件的配对,充分掌握了中西方的节日。这个过程避免了单一,枯燥的单词机械式认读,使教学过程成为学生获取信息,重组知识和自我巩固的过程。

【设计意图】1,通过听,读结合,培养学生良好的语音,语调和语感,巩固本课的语言点。 2,通过学生之间的相互合作,利用所学知识编写一篇小短文,挖掘孩子们智能潜力,从而更大限度地发挥他们学习主体的作用,也为孩子们表现才能,展示个性提供了更宽广的舞台。在自主探究,学习的过程中,他们的记忆,思维,想象及创新能力等都得到了进一步的培养和提高,也为其终身学习和发展打下坚实的基础。

【设计意图】板书设计意在浓缩本课的重点,给学生一个明确的思路,使学生对新内容一目了然,有更深刻的印象。
六.教学反思
在教学本课时,我充分利用一切教学手段来吸引学生的注意力。小学生的自我约束能力比较差,注意力比较容易分散。为了延长学生的听课时间,我运用了生动的图片,形象的肢体语言,有趣的课堂练习以及多媒体教学手段,充分调动学生的学习兴趣。例如介绍复活节的由来时,我让学生带着问题有目的地听,引导学生由整体感受过渡到具体细节,培养学生整体和细节的感知能力。学生也身临其境,成为课堂中的小主人,便被动为主动,便客体为主体。从原来的老师教转变为现在的想要学,让学生自己来发掘问题,解决问题,真正成为教学过程中的主体。
在教学时,我还强调以学生为交际能力的核心的英语综合运用能力。我充分调动学生的非智力因素,营造一个交际实践的环境,并充分利用现有的教学手段,努力扩大学生的知识层面。英语作为一门语言,总是涉及各类学科,种种话题,又与现实生活有着千丝万缕的联系。例如两个长假,就是很好的素材。学生可以充分发挥,运用所学语言来达到交际的目的。既贴近生活,又跳出了教科书的框架,学活了书本。
教无定法,如何培养小学生的自主学习还需要我们在教学实践中摸索前行。
