Teaching aims:
知识目标: To grasp some useful expressions and understand the new tense-Present perfect tense;
能力目标: To retell the main idea of the text；
情感目标: To understand the use of some words through the exercises.
Important and difficult points:
To get more detailed information about the changes to the town and understand the new tense-Present perfect tense.

Step 1: Pre-checking.
A.Translate the phrases(见学案)
   Ask some students to give us the answers and then correct;
   Ask them to read together.

　　　Who is Mr Chen?(He is Daniel's grandpa who lived in Sunshine Town before.)
　　　What do you know about Mr Chen?(He got married in 1965.Then he and his wife moved to another flat in the center of town. Lase Last year, they moved again. Now, he often meets his friends in the park.He feels a bit lonely from time to time.)
　　　What was in Sunshine Town in the past?(There was some small restaurants,shops and market stalls. There was also a small post office and an old cinema.)
　　　How many people lived there in the past?(30,000people.)
　　　What is the town centre now?(It's a park. )
　　　What does Mr Chen do in the park?(He meets his friends to play cards and chinese Chinese chess.)
　　　Why is there less water pollution than before?(Because the government has took taken action to reduce the pollution. )

A. Present perfect tense:
①概念:
  动词结构：have/has+动词的过去分词
  基本用法：表示这个动作发生在不确定的过去时间并对现在有影响。
  拓展延伸：在现在完成时态中，常连用的副词有already, yet, just, before, ever, never, recently，等 以及 for和since 引导的时间短语。
②let students find some model sentences in comic strip and in the interview.
  eg.I've just eaten it.

B.Explain some useful expressions and patterns
①used to do/be ；过去常常做－/是――   
　　eg: He used to be a teacher. 
   be/get used to doing—现在习惯于做――
　eg: He is used to having noodles for breakfast.
  ② get married to sb = marry sb . 与某人结婚。
　　 Eg: Tom got married to Mary last year =Tom married Mary last year.
   They got married last year.
  ③until 直到――   not ---until 直到――才――
eg : He did his homework until 7 o’clock yesterday evening.
   He didn’t do his homework until 7 o’clock yesterday evening .
  ④change a lot  
　　 change :v. Our city has changed a lot.            
change n. Great changes have taken place in our city .  ( the changes to the Sunshine  Town,the answer to – the key to—the entrance to--)
  ⑤. turn into –变成――eg. Water turns into ice when it freezes            
     The shop has turned into a hotel
  ⑥   pleasant :指环境，地方，行程的舒适愉快。多用于修饰事物。  
　　 Eg: The weather is usually pleasant here in May .
　　 The trip is pleasant. 
　　 Pleased :指感到愉快。通常描述人。
　　 be pleased with—
　　 Eg:  I’m pleased with your work.
   The teacher is pleased with us.
　　 同根词---pleasure.  With pleasure /It’s my pleasure.
  ⑦ way
    1）方面，方式，方法。in this way /that/another way      
       in some ways 在某些方面，在某种程度上      
      a new way of teaching  一种新的教法。
　　 2）路  on one’s way to---  on his way to school  
　　　 by the way 顺便问一下
  ⑧lonely adj.指人，表示寂寞孤独，指物，表示荒凉，无人居住的  
　　　eg: He feels lonely without friends.
　　　This is a lonely house. 
　　　alone adj./adv. 独自的（地） He lives alone .
　　　He lives alone, but he doesn’t feel lonely.
  ⑨from time to time =sometimes=at times

   It’s nice to have  open space
