FUN WITH ENGLISH 5B
Unit 6 At a PE Lesson
Teaching aims and demands:
1.Four skills:
Words: time, left, right, stop, touch, an arm, a hand, a leg, a foot
Structures: Put…on….
Touch…with….
All right.
2. Three skills:
Words: neck, shoulder, finger, knee, toe, order , lie, bend, move, lift everybody
Structures: Stand in a line.
Let’s do some exercise.
Jump up and down.
Now, stand up everybody.
3. The pronounciation of the letters: ai , ay
Allotments:
Five lessons
Period One:
Part B,C
一. Teaching aims and demands:
A. Study aims:
1.The students can grasp the words: arm, hand, leg, foot, right, left, touch, stop.
2. The students can apply the new structures: Touch…with….
B. Ability aims:
1. The students can do the action according to the orders.
二. Teaching focus and difficulties:
Pay attention to the structures: Touch…with…
三. Teaching Preparation:
The tape recorder, workbooks
四. Teaching procedures:
Step one. Revision:
T: What day is it today?
S: It’s….
T: What lessons do you have?
S: We have ….
T: What am I doing?
S: You are ….
Step two. Presentation:
1.T: Now, boys and girls. Today, we will have a PE lesson. Let’s go out.
S: OK, let’s go.

2. T: Look, What’s this in English?
  S: It’s a hand.
T: Yes, this is my hand.
  This is my left hand, and this is my right hand.
S: This is my left hand, and this is my right hand.
  Read left, right, my left hand, my right hand.
T: Now, look at me:
  Turn left. Turn right.
  Say the structures with the action.
S: Turn left. Turn right.
Practice in pairs.

3.T: Good! Look, this is my left hand.
Touch my head with my left hand three times.
Touch my shoulder with my right hand two times.
Say the structures with the action.
Guess the meaning.
  S: Do the action after the teacher.
Say the sentences and do the action.
Read after the teacher.
  
4. Teach the other new words about the body in the same way:
Touch your neck with your fingers one time.
Touch your toes with your hands three times.
Touch your knees with your left hand four times.
S: neck, shoulder, arm, finger, knee, toe, leg, foot.
  Read the new words and do the action.
Step three. Practice:
1. Work in groups.
Divide the students into ten groups, and one student gives the orders, and the other students do the actions.
2. Show the pictures.
Let the students do the action according to the pictures,and speak out the orders.
Step four. Consolidation:
1. Open the books, listen to the tape and read after the tape.
2. Speak out the parts.
3. Play a game:
Guess the orders.
Step five. Homework assigning:
1. Copy the new words four times.
2. Listen to the tape and review the text.
Step six. Blackboard arrangement:

Period Two
Part A (1)
一. Teaching aims and demands:
A. Study aims:
1. The students can grasp the new words: foot, feet, left, right, stop, touch, give orders, follow, line
2. The students can apply the structure:
Put …on …
B. Ability aims:
The students can do the action according to the orders.

二Teaching focus and difficulities:
Turn left and right.
Jump up and down.
三. Teaching Preparation:
The tape recorder,  workbook.
四. Teaching Procedures:
Step One. Revision:
T: What day is it today?
S: It’s….
T: What lessons do you have?
S: We have ….
T: What am I doing?
S: You are ….
T: Do you like PE?
S: Yes, I do.
T: Good, now, let’s have a PE lesson.
Step Two. Presentation:
1. T: Now, boys and girls, listen to my orders, I’ll give you some orders, you should try to follow the orders.
Stand up!
Stand in a line.
Turn left.
Turn right.
Turn left and right..
Jump up.
Jump down.
Jump up and down.
  The teacher gives the orders and does the action with the students.
  Let the students understand the new orders: Jump up and down.
Turn left and right.
  S: Read the new phrases and do the actions.
give orders, try to follow, jump up and down, turn left and right
3. T: Well done. Now, I’ll give you some new orders, please listen carefully.
Stand in a line.
Touch your left shoulder with your right hand five times..
Touch your feet with your hands four times.
Show me your feet. One foot, two feet.
S: Do the action and read the new words.
T: Put your hands on your head. Just like me.
  Then turn left and right four times.
  Turn left, turn right, turn left and right.
S: Speak out the orders and do the actions.
4. T: Look at me, please. And follow me.
Put our feet together. Jump up and down ten times.
S: Yes, Mr. Weng.
T: Good. Stop!.
Step three. Practice:
1. Work in groups.
Work in group four, one studeng gives the orders and the others follow the orders.
Step four. Consolidation:
1. T: Open the books, explain the text.
S: Listen to the tape and read after the tape.
2. T: Read the text by themselves.
3. Act the dialogues in group three.
Step five. Homework assigning:
1. Copy the new words and phrases.
2. Review the text, listen to the tape for five times.
Step six. Blackboard arrangement:

Part A (2)
一. Teaching aims and demands:

四Teaching Procedures:
Step one. Revision:

S: You are ….
T: Do you like PE?
S: Yes, I do.
T: Good, now, let’s have a PE lesson.
Step two. Presentation:
1. Do group work.
Work in group four, one student gives the orders, and the others do the action.
2. T: Well done!
Now, boys and girls, listen carefully, I’ll give some other orders.
Follow me, please:
Lie on your back.
Put your knees together.
Bend your knees.
Move your legs to the left.
Then move your legs to the right.
S: Listen carefully.
  Do the action after the teacher.
The teacher says the orders several times, let the students understand the orders ,then do the action after the teacher.
S: Understand the new words: bend, lie, move.
  Read and say, guess the meanings.
Step three. Using:
1. Work in groups.
According to the new orders , do group work.
2. Check.
One student gives the orders, and the other students do the actions follow the orders.
Step four. Presentation:
1. T: Good ! Now, listen carefully!
Do the action after me.
Lift up your right leg.
Touch it with your left hand.
Lift up your left leg.
Touch it with your right hand.
Do this ten times.
S: Listen to the orders and follow the teacher.
Do the action and speak out the orders.
2. T: Now, stop.
Stand up everybody! Are you tired?
S: Yes, we are.
T: Do you feel tired?
S: Yes, we do.
T. Good!
Step five. Using:
1. Work in groups.
According to the orders we have learned, do group work..
Step six. Consolidation:
1. Open the books, listen to the tape and read after the tape.
2. Close the books, listen to the tape.
3. Do group work.:
Do the action according the orders which we have learned.
Step seven. Homework assigning:
1. Copy the new words and structures.
2. Review the whole text.
3. Listen to the tape for five times, and read after the tape.

Period  FourPart D\ E
一.Teaching aims and demands:
1.Students can grasp the learned words and phrases in this units
2.Students can practice with the structures like: touch …with, put ….on, all right. They can use them easily.
二.Teaching focus and difficulties:
1.Words: time, left, right, stop, touch, arm, hand, leg, foot.
2.Structues: can you put… on…? touch … with …?
三.Teaching preparations:
1.tape recorder 2.pictures 3. slide
四.Teaching procedures:
Step one: Revision:
1.Have a dictation of the words and structures.
2.Have a free talk: talking between TS, SS
3.View the dialogue
Step Tw Presentation:
1.T: I can do some exercise. Can you do any exercise, boys and girls?
S: Yes, teacher.
T: Stand in line, please. Put your feet together. Jump and down five times. Put your hands on your head/shoulder/arm/neck. Tough the leg with your left/right hand.
S: listen and do by teacher’s order
2.Work in groups and have the PE lesson: prepare and act.
S1: Put your left hand on the …
Put your right leg on the ….
Tough the knee with the …
S2: All right. I can put the … on …
3.Show the slide and pictures: T: the boy can stand on the man’s head. The girl can …
Discuss the pictures by the students. Look and say
4.Look at the Part D: fill into the blanket according to the pictures.
Read the pictures and say.
5.Look at the Part E: listen to the tape, read the story with partner, make the similar story by themselves.
Step three: Drills and Homework:
1.Listen to the tape and imitate the dialogue and story of Part E
2.Work in pairs and act in spare time
3.Recite the dialogue and prepare a dialogue
4.Do the listening exercise AB
5.Finish the exercise C  D

Part F, G  H
一.Teaching Aims and demands:
1.Students can grasp the learned words, phrases and structures of the unit
2.They can frequently know the material and use them to practice
3.Students learn the phones like “ai and ay” and the song “ Do some exercise with me”
二.Teaching focus and difficulties:
1.Knowledge: words, phrases and structures.
2.Phone: ai, ay
3.Song: Do some exercise with me
三.Teaching preparations:
1.tape recorder 2.pictures 3.slide
四.Teaching procedures:
Step one: Revision:
1.Recite the dialogues
2.Have a greeting: T: What day is it? What subject do you like? Does she like…? What does he usually do …? Can you put … on .,..? Can you touch… with….?
Ss try to answer one by one. And change rolls to ask.
Step tw Presentation:
1.T: Can you draw pictures? S: Yes, I can .
T: Please draw a picture: It has two heads, two necks, four arms, eight fingers and six legs.
S: listen and draw carefully.
Play the game: listen and draw( work in group four)
Talk about the pictures they have drew.
2.Show the slide: the phone of “a”
View the phones of it, list and classify the phones
Show the words: waiter waitress day play
The waiter and the waitress play table tennis every day.
Read the words and sentence loudly and know the material and phones.
3.View and learn the song:
Listen and view the learned songs like “wish you are happy every day”, “hobbies”
Listen the new song: do some exercise with me
Listen and try to learn the songs
Step three: Drill and Homework
1.Listen and read the phones
2.Listen and sing the songs: sing and act
3.Work in groups and practice
4.Finish the left exercise and go over the whole unit.
