教材分析：本单元的核心教学内容是谈论“学校及游乐场设施”，重点学习there be结构的一般疑问句和特殊疑问句How many …are there …?及其答语。There be 结构的陈述句在4B第八单元已学过，在教学过程中，运用实际场景从复习there be的陈述句开始，然后引出本单元的一般疑问句和特殊提问句及其答语。教学中要注意any的用法。

教学目标：1． 能听得懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词day, at school, a lot (of ),all, a room ，any, a garden, a house, a flower 。
2． 能听得懂、会说、会读和会写句型 Is there a/an…? Yes, there is./ No, there isn’t. Are there any …? Yes, there are./ No, there aren’t. How many … are there …? There’s / There are…
3． 能听得懂、会说、会读日常交际用语和句型I’m not sure. Let’s go and see. Let’s go and have a look.
4．了解元音字母a在单词中的读音。
5．会唱英语歌曲Two jackets。

   Nice to see you again, boys and girls. Welcome back to school. This is the first lesson of the new term. Teach the new word first. Give some examples: first day, first student, first teacher.
  2、Play a guessing game. What's this? And teach the new word garden.
Step 2 Presentation and practice
  1.Ss should think about what's in a garden. Using  There’s a … There are … To review the sentence pattern.  Teach the new words slide and swing by using word cards. And Ss should read the words several times.
    2、Teacher point to a chair and ask "Is there a chair in the garden?" teach the sentence pattern " Is there...in the...? Yes, there is. No, there isn't." write it on the BB.
  3、In the same way teach the sentence pattern "Are there any ...in the...? Yes, there are. No there aren't" write it on the BB.
  4、T: In our school, there are three buildings and there are lots of rooms in them. There are classrooms, offices. Are there any other rooms?
Teach table tennis room and reading room
T: And there is one more place. It’s important for every one. Every one goes there every day. What is it?
