Step 1 warm-up
1.Sing a song Two jackets. Write two jackets, chair, bed on the BB. Then write more words for them to replace such as three boxes, desk, over there; four pictures, blackboard, wall.
2. Free talk and revision
Ask some questions such as:
Is today the first day of the new term?
Are there any students in the classroom?
How many students are there in the classroom?
Is there a toilet near here?
There are some new posts in our school. Shall we go and have a look after class?
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1. Draw a house on BB. Teach the word house. Write it on BB. Then draw a circle near the house. Teach the new word near.

T: I'm going to draw something in the park. What should I draw?

Teacher should give some instructions. Is there a …?/ Are there any …?

2. Read the dialogue after tape.
3. Make a similar dialogue by themselves.

1.Ask Ss to think about the words in which the letter a pronunce [ei]. Tell Ss the rules.
