Unit 7 It’s nice.
Teaching aims and demands:
1.Learn to say: Look at …. It’s smart./pretty/nice.
            How nice!

2.Learn to say the words:
  a dress, a skirt, a T-shirt, a jacket, a sweater, a coat, a shirt, a blouse, her, his, new
3.Learn to sing: Colour song.
4.Learn the letters: Uu,Vv,Ww,Xx.
Stress and difficulties:
1.The sentence patterns.
2.The words.
3.The letters.
Teaching aids: 1.Taper recorder   
            2. Pictures
            3. Real objects
Periods: Four periods.
Period 1
Teaching aims and demands:
1.Learn to say the words:
a dress, a skirt, a T-shirt, a jacket, a sweater, a coat, a shirt, a blouse, her, his, new
2.Learn to sing: Colour song.
Teaching aids: 1. Taper recorder   
2. Pictures

Steps:
     Step 1     Revision
1. Exchange greetings with the class.
2. Free talk.
     Step 2     Presentation
1. Show the pictures of clothes and ask:0
  T: What is this?/ What is that?
  S: It’s a …
  (a dress, a skirt, a T-shirt, a jacket, a sweater, a coat, a shirt, a blouse)
  T: What colour is it?
  S: It’s …
2. Write the words on Bb and help students read.
     Step 2     Practice
1. Play a game: What’s missing?
2. Read the words one by one
     Step 3     Sing a song
1. Play the tape and get students to listen to the tape.
2. Learn to say the words of the song.
3. Sing the song after the tape.
4. Sing and act.
     Step 4     Workbook
1. Open the workbook at P.21 and ask students to finish the listening practice.
  A. Listen, find and circle.
  B. Listen, find and colour.
2. Check up.
     Step 6     Homework
1. Listen to the tape and read Part B after the tape five times.
2. Pre-read.

教学后记:本课是本单元的的第一教时,容量较大。教学重点及教学难点是关键。

2.Learn to say the sentences:
   Look at …. It’s smart./pretty/nice.

Teaching aids: 1. Tape recorder
             2. Pictures
3. Real objects


Steps:
     Step 1     Revision
1. Exchange greeting with the class.
2. Sing a song.  Colour song
3. Free talk.
4. Show the pictures and get students to read the words one by one..
     Step 2     Presentation
1. T: Look at ××’s coat.
Look at her/his coat. It’s new. It’s smart/pretty/nice.
This is her/his… How nice?
2. Write the sentences on Bb and help students to read.
3. Explain.
4. Make a dialogue with a student.
  a. T: Look at my new ….
    S: It’s smart/nice/pretty.
  How nice.
T: Thank you.
  b. T: Look, this is her/his …
S: It’s …
  How nice.
     Step 3     Practice
1. Get students to make a similar dialogue in pairs.
2. Ask several pairs of students to act the dialogue in front of the class.
     Step 4     Reading
1. Play the tape and get students to read Part A after the tape.
2. Read after the teacher.
3. Role play.
     Step 3     Workbook
1. Open the workbook at P.23 and ask students to finish the listening practice.
  C Listen and judge.
2. Check up.
     Step 4     Homework
Listen to the tape and read the dialogue five times.




Period  3
Teaching aims and demands:
1. Review the words and help students to say them correctly.
2. Review the dialogue and help students to make dialogues by themselves.
Teaching aids: 1.Tape recorder.
2. Real objects


Steps:
     Step 1     Revision
1. Exchange greetings with the class.
2. Read Part A&B.
3. Role play.
4. Sing a song: Colour song
     Step 2     Practice
1. Show the pictures and get students to say the words one by one.
2. Play a game. Part D/3
  For example:   S: A shirt?
                T: No.
                S:A T-shirt?
                T: Yes.
     Step 3     Look and say
1. Open the book at P.43 and get students to look at the pictures carefully.
2. Use the sentences above the pictures to make a dialogue.
   a. Look at his/her …
     It’s …
   b. Look, this is …That’s …
     Step 4     Listening practice
1. Do the listening practice at P.44.
2. Check up.
     Step 5     Homework
Listen the tape and read Unit 1.



Period 4
Teaching aims and demands:
1. Review the words and the sentences in the unit.
2. Learn to say and write the letters: Uu,Vv,Ww,Xx
Stress: Letters.
Teaching aids: 1. Pictures.
2. Real objects.


Steps:
     Step 1     Revision
1. Sing a song: Colour song
2. Free talk.
3. Show some pictures and ask:
  T: What is this?
  S: It’s a ….
4. Act the dialogue in Part A.
     Step 2     Letters
1.Show some cards and get students to read the letters one by one.
2.Write the letters with the fingers we’ve learned one by one.
3.Show the new letter “Uu” and get students to read after the teacher.
4.Write the letter on the Bb and tell students to pay attention
  to the order of strokes observed in calligraphy.
5.Use the same method to teach the letters: Vv, Ww, Xx




6.Get students to say the letters from Aa to Xx.
     Step 3     School assignment
Copy the letters: Uu,Vv,Ww,Xx
     Step 4     Homework
1. Read Unit 7.
2. Copy the letters.
