我们学生自己解释的，鸟等动物是要躲到树的里面所以用in the tree；而果子是长在树上面，要向外面去，所以用on the tree

2. There's a bird in the tree. 树上有只鸟。

on the tree 在树上的东西本身是树的一部分东西（如叶子、果实）
in the tree 在树上的东西本身不是树的一部分（如鸟、人）
