教学内容        D Work in pairs.   A Read and say.

教学目标        1. New phrases: a new building, a lot of, I’m not sure. Let’s go and see.
  Let me see. Let’s go and have a look.
2. New dialogue: How many ... are there? There  are (is) ... .

教学重难点        1. New phrases.
2. The dialogue.
3. The test.

课前准备       
录音机,磁带,课文挂图









教学过程        Free talk:
1. T: Is there a … in the …?
   Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t.
  T: Are there any … in the …?
   Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t.
2. Review the words.
二、Presentation:
1. T: Show the picture.
  T: What’s this? It’s a building.
  Teach “building”
2. There are a lot of rooms in the building.
  A lot of = lots of =many
3. Are there any music rooms in the building?
  Yes, there are.  
4. T: How many music rooms are there in the building?
   There is /are ….
   Teach “How many … are there …?”   T-S  S-S Pair work
  A: How many music rooms are there in the building?
  B: There is /are ….
三、Practise:
1. D Work in pairs
   Look at the pictures
   Practise in pairs.   S: Act it out.
四.Presentation
1. T: How many toilets are there in the school?
   I’m not sure.
  Teach “I’m not sure.”
  S: Read afer T.
  S ask T: I’m not sure.
   Let’s go and see.
   Let’s go and have a look.   Let me see.
2. T: Show the questions on the blackboard.
a. How many classrooms are there?
b. How many reading rooms are there?
c. Is there a table tennis room?
d. Are there any computer rooms?
S: Read the questions.
T: Play the tape.   S: Listen to the tape.
                   Try to answer the questions.
3. Read after the tape.    Role in play.
五、Homework:
1. Recite the test.
2. Copy the phrases
