牛津初中英语7A UNIT2 READINGⅠ 说课稿

Introduce myself
Good afternoon, everyone. I’m….. Now I’ll say Reading of Unit2 from the Fun With English in 7A. I’ll prepare to say the lesson from four parts.
PartⅠ Analyzing teaching material
1. Status and function
The lesson is focused on the topic of the problems of helping Ss to learn some important reading skills and steps in analyzing a reading material. Since it is a reading, it’s helpful to improve the Ss reading ability.
2. Analysis of the students
Ss in this class are in grade 7,they just have a start of further English learning in junior high school。And they just have a basic knowledge of English and some even have just a little knowledge of English. They can understand some simple words and some simple sentences. The Ss have taken a great interest in English now.
3. Teaching aims and demands
1)knowledge objects
a. Enable the Ss to remember the following new words &phrases:
because;library;Tuesday;practise;chat with each other;spend time doing sth;have a good time
b. Get the Ss to be familiar with this sentence pattern: someone do sth
2)ability objects
a. Ask the Ss to learn to get the general idea of a passage.   
b. Help Ss to understand the structure of the passage.
c. Train them with some effective reading skills in reading a passage.
d. Develop their ability of thinking independently.   
e. Cultivate their ability to discover analyze and solve problems.
f. Teach Ss to express what they learn and use them.      
3)moral objects
a. Help to develop students’ interest in learning English;   
b. Enable the students to love our school and school life;
4. Teaching key and difficult points
1)teaching key points
a. the structure of passage      
b. the detail information of passage
c. improve their reading skills.      
d. Talking about something about school life.
2)teaching difficult points
a. teach reading skills and methods.
b. develop their reading ability.
c. how to retell the passage.
5. Teaching aids
Multi-media computer and projector will be needed in this lesson. It’s necessary for teachers to use modern teaching facilities. It’s of great help to improve our teaching result. It can also make the Ss reach a better understanding of the text by making the classes lively and interesting. At the same time it add the Ss’ interest in learning English.
Part Ⅱ Teaching methods
a.        Three step method
b.        Task-based teaching method
Task-based teaching method: New Syllabus Design encourages teachers to use this teaching method. Task based teaching method develop their ability in language application. Make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as the director and bring their ability into full play. So in this lesson I mainly use three steps method and Task-based teaching method. That is to say, I’ll let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the passage. I’ll give the Ss some tasks: talking, discussion and so on.
Part Ⅲ Study methods
1. Teach Ss how to be successful language learners.
2. Teach Ss how to develop the reading skill — skim &scan; how to learn independently;      
3. Get the Ss to form good learning and reading habits.
Part Ⅳ Teaching procedures
Step 1: Lead in  3min
Activity 1 Picture-talking  
Download some pictures about school life. Questions: What are they doing?   
Goal: To lead up to the topic, get Ss to warm up and arouse their interest in the topic. 
Step 2: Presentation  5min
Activity 2: short-talking
Let student talk about their dream school.
Goal: Attract their attention, arouse their interest and create a good atmosphere for reading teaching..
Step 3:First reading  5min
Activity 3: match the right answer
Fast reading one guided Q to help Ss to get the main idea:
Four parts about Millie’s school life
  Para 1    A: Millie’s friends at school   
  Para 2    B: school activities
  Para 3    C: after-school activities  
  Para 4    D: Millie’s school and class                     
Step 4: Second reading  5min
Activity 4: true or false
In the second reading more Qs will be given to Ss. And develop their reading skills: skim &scan.
Several true or false questions provided.
Step 5: Final reading   10min
Activity 5: find the detail information
Give the key words about the passage and let the Ss find the detail information about the key words.
Step 6: Practice  10min
Activity 6: Retell
Use your own words to retell the passage according to the detail information.
Step 7:homework
Write an e-mail to your good friend about your school life just like Millie’s e-mail.
Part Ⅴ Blackboard design
As for my blackboard-design, since time is limited, I’d like to give a brief introduction.
