1. Hold a competition among the four groups.
T show the pictures of the things we learnt before, Ss say the words as quickly as they can ,and the group who say the most and the quickest can be winner.
Step 2. Presentation
1. T show a picture of a cake, and ask What’s this?
S1: It’s a cake.
Teach the word cake.

2. Teach the other three words in the same way.
3. Ss read the words after the T.
Step 3. Practice
1. T show the pictures one by one , ask four Ss to say the words, and then stick the pictures beside the corresponding one.

Notes:
The word some is hard to understand. Ss could not understand the difference between some cake and some cakes. Ss are used to saying thank you. They can’t say the words thanks very fluently.
To the article a and an , most Ss know the difference, but there’re still someone not very clear.

Step 1. To lead in
1. Show the pictures of the food and Ss say out the words as quickly as they can.
2. Pair work: act the dialogue in the book
Step 2. Presentation
1. T show a glass ,teach the word glass.
2. show a carton of milk and teach milk.
3. Teach the phrase a glass of milk
4. T act the waitress, saying: A glass of milk?
S1: No, thank you.
5. Chain-drill.

1. Play a game flash and guess, T flash the pictures and Ss say what it is.
