An ideal workday

Normal:
(7:00  the alarm clock rings)
M: Get up, Paddy.  It’s 7:00.
P: OK. Mum.
(But I’m too sleepy to get up. I didn’t get up at once. I keep staying in bed )
(Several minutes later. It’s 7:15)
M: Hey, hey, hey. Lazy girl! Be quick! Get up. You’re late.
P: All right.
(rush out of the bedroom  put on clothes  brush teeth )
   Mum, I’ve no time for breakfast. I’ll take some bread with me.
   Bye, Mum.
(shut the door)
(I ride the bike fast to get to school on time. I have no time to care anything around me. I sweat a lot.)

7:40  I get to the school while the bell is ringing.
P: Hew, the right time. (擦把汗)
(Suddenly the headmaster appears)
H: Be early next time.
P: All right.
(But in my heart, I think it doesn’t matter. I don’t have the first class.)

I rush into my office.
S1: Miss paddy. Here are our class copybooks. Can I get them after the first lesson?
P: OK.
(Then I begin to correct the copybooks)
S2: Our class homework.
P: Put them here.
  Class 4 & Class 5
  How about Class 6?
I rush into the class 6.
P: Where are your copybooks?
S3: Here they are.  Sorry. We’re late.
P: I told you that I have three classes in the morning. If you don’t hand over them before the first class, I can’t correct them on time. So don’t forget next time.
S3: OK.

9:00
P: Oh, I’m gonna have lessons.
P: Today we’ll learn something about fruit. Read after me “apple”
   Read one by one.
   “orange”
(Ss don’t listen to me.)
P: Today’s homework is copying the new words three times.
(Ss start to complain so much copying)

2:10 p.m. In the English teachers’ office
P: Hew. All the lessons have been finished. I’m just gonna lie in bed.
C: So do I.
P: Why can’t we go home after the lessons? The university teachers can arrange their time freely whenever they finish their lessons, while we must stay till five o’clock. It’s unfair to us.
C: Yes. Heavier work, but less salary.

4:10 p.m. Time for the meeting.
H: Last week, we had …, Next week, we’re gonna …
(sum up what we did and arrange what we’re gonna do)
P: It’s too boring. I’m gonna fall asleep.
(5:00 The meeting is going on)
P: Oh, when is it going to finish? We always go home late while we have meeting.
(A lot of colleagues are complaining)

6:00 the meeting is over. I ride the bike back home.
The cell phone rings.
P: Hello, this is paddy speaking. Who’s that?
H: Hello, this is me, the boss.
P: Hello, headmaster. What’s up?
H: There’s going to be an open class. I recommend you to give the class. So, please prepare for it tonight.
P: Ok. I know.
(I become so depressed. I’m too tired to do anymore about the teaching staff. I ride the bike more and more slowly.)

7:00.  Time for dinner.
I finish my dinner as quickly as possible. Then I turn on the computer and start to prepare for the open class.

Ideal:

I ride the bike on the way to school. I find everything around is beautiful. I enjoy everything while riding. I stop at KFC and have a nice breakfast there.

8:40 I get to school. The bell is ringing. The first lesson is over.
P: The right time.
(I didn’t meet the headmaster. Maybe she is in her office now.)

I walk into the office. Except Class6, the copybooks of Class4&5 are already on the desk.
S3: Sorry, Paddy. We’re late again
P: Well, it doesn’t matter. I don’t care because from today on, there’s no homework in the copybook. So give them back to the students.
(S3 leaves.I drink some tea and read the newspaper instead of correcting copybooks.)


9:00 It’s time for class
P: I’m gonna have lesson.
P: Hello, everyone. Today we’re going to learn something about the fruit. It’s round. It’s red. What is it?
S: Pingguo.
P: Yes. Apple. Follow me, apple.
Say a rhyme:
Apple round, Apple red, Apple juicy, Apple sweet.
Apple,apple, I love you. Apple sweet I love to eat.
Teach the “orange” in the same way and encourage the student to create new rhyme.
S: Orange round, Orange orange, Orange juicy, Orange sweet
  Orange ,orange, I love you, Orange sweet I love to eat.
……..
P: Today’s homework is creating the rhyme about the fruit and share tomorrow.
S: Hurray!

P: How about we go to the teahouse to have a rest now?
C: But we have a meeting at 4:10.
P: There are two hours left. It doesn’t matter. We can come back on time.

I enjoy my dinner first. Then read the books while listening to the music. I watch the movie, surf the internet and do net shopping.
I have a nice sleep without any additional staff.
