                          B (swimming; skating; fishing; running)
Teaching Aims:
     (1)Listen and say: swimming; skating; fishing; running.
     (2)Listen and say: Do you like …?  Yes, I do.
Let's go …   Good idea.
Teaching importance:
(1)   Let the children communicate with others
(2)   Invite someone to do the sports if he\she likes.
Teaching difficulty:
Improve the children’s communication.
Visual aids: two watermelons  four swimming lifebelts  six plates four fishing rods  multimedia
Teaching Process:
Warming up:
(1) Greetings.
(2)  Sing a song  <We study and play>
Step 1 Lead in.                                                
(1)  Free talk.
The teacher makes the model:
   
          1、What’s that on the desk?
      　　2、What’s this in English?  
      　　3、 Do you like…?
      　　    Let’s go and play basketball .
(2) T: I play it, you count, OK? Look and say the numbers on the big screen. (2, 0, 0, 8 )
(3)Ask: what will be happen in 2008 in Beijing of China.?
There will be some sports here. (Show the pictures as quickly as possible.) Like: running, fishing, jogging, swimming, climbing, rowing, skating, skiing.
(4) Look at this picture, this is a stadium. There will be a sports meeting here. I’m very happy to hear that.
Step 2 Presentation.
(1) Divide the class into four groups  named  after  the  new  words. Each group chooses one cartoon character.
(1)  Look at the picture. What is he doing? He is swimming. I repeat it three times. Let the children read after me some times. Read one by one. Together. Read and do the actions.
(2)  Boys and girls. Look carefully. What’s this?( Show a watermelon) I have some plates of  watermelons. I think it is very delicious. I’ll taste a piece. Hmm, it’s very delicious. Do you like watermelons? Yes or no? If you like you can say “Yes, I do.” Read and study this sentence.  
(3)  I ask them: Do you like watermelons? Use these two to ask and answer in groups.
(4)  OK! Look, what am I doing? Do you like swimming? Ask the teacher.
(5)  Ask and answer in groups. Choose some one to act.
Step 3 Presentation.
(1)  Look at me, What am I doing? Oh, I am skating. Let’s say and do Skating , skating.  Call some students to read. Read and do together.
(2)  Ask: Do you like skating?
(3)  Ask and answer in groups .
(4)  Choose some to act.
(5)  Oh, I’m hungry. I like to eat fish. Do you like fish? Let’s go to the supermarket to buy it. But the fish is sold out. OK, no problem, let’s go fishing. Study “fishing” with the same method.
(6)  Do you like fishing?
Let’s go fishing. We may say : “ Good idea!” Read and say : “ Good idea!’
(7)  Ask and answer: Do you like …? Yes, I do. Let’s go … Good idea!
(8)  OK. Look at me. I’m running. Running, running, go go go. Say and do after me. Do the actions.
Step 4 Sing a song.
(1)   I play the piano and sing the song.

Step 5  Look and guess.
          Look at the pictures five seconds. And then I number it. I ask: What’s in picture 1\2\3\4\5?
Step 6  Listen and repeat.
(1)  Look at the pictures and listen to the tape.
(2)  Answer: What did you hear?

Step 7  Communication.
(1)   Find your friends to make a free talk.
(2)   Invite your friends to do the sports.
The teacher does the model and let the student with the visual aids to do it.
Step 8  Survey
      　　1、The teacher explain how to do the survey using the patterns.
      Model: I’m a reporter . Excuse me, what’s your name, please? Do you like swimming? What do you like?
      　　2、The students contribute the personal information.
      　　The teacher ask them to do a survey in a limited time and give a summary.

Step 9   Homework
   (1) Read and remember the picture 1 and picture 4.
(2) Use the words to practice with your partners.
Step 10  Sing a song   <Goodbye>
