Unit1 Public signs
一Teaching Content:
   本单元主要围绕“公共标志”这个话题展开各项活动，所涉及到的日常交际项目有介绍，询问，忠告和建议等，其中询问公共标志含义及其应答为重点内容。学生们在日常生活中对公共标志并不陌生，但作为一个话题来谈论会有一定的困难。为了使学生更好地掌握本单元的学习内容，教师在教学过程中要考虑学生的年龄特点，充分利用多媒体课件，图片，幻灯，简笔画等手段，运用形象化的语言和动作，使教学内容更贴近学生的生活，激发学生的学习兴趣，提高学生参与语言活动的积极性。
二、Teaching Aim
1. Phonetics: (know)
字母组合ea在单词中的读音[e]。
2. New Words:
(1) 3 cans: cousin, park, public, sign, danger, away, grass, keep off, cage, quiet, make noise, smoke, litter, suddenly, note, look around, nearby, quickly, pick up, keeper, come up, point, fine.
(2) 4 cans: always, question, ask, mean, must, should, shouldn’t, take a walk, pick.
3. Everyday Sentences:
    (1) 3 cans: There are a lot of signs here.  They mean different things.  Keep off the grass.  Be quiet.  No smoking.  No littering.  No parking.  No eating or drinking.  Danger!  Do not touch.

Step 3. Presentation and practise:
1 出示‘Danger’标志及课文挂图。
T: There’s a sign on the wall.What does it mean?
S: It means “Danger”.
T: It means you must stay away from the building.(学习must, stay away.讲解： must 为情态动词，意为必须，后跟动词原形。在此复习 should, can 同为情态动词，后跟动词原形。Stat away意为远离。)
2. 出示课文第二张挂图。
T: What’s on the grass?
S: There’s a sign on the grass.
T: What does it mean?
S: It means we should keep off the grass.
T: Yes. It means we shouldn’t walk on the grass.(Read: walk on the grass.)
   Look , what’s this? It’s a bird’s cage.(Learn: cage.)
Look at this sign. What does it mean?
S: It means ‘Keep quiet”!
T: Yes. It means we shouldn’t make noise here.(Learn: make noise.)
3. 介绍图上人物。
T: Who’s he?            S: He’s Ben.
T: Who’s he?          S: He’s Ben’s cousin.(Learn: cousin.并解释意思。)
T: Where are they?     S: They’re in the park.
T: Ben’s cousin has a lot of questions.You know “a lot of questions”?(出示：a lot of questions  学读并了解意思。) Now he is asking Ben some questions about the signs.(Learn: ask .. about …)
Step 4. Read
1. Listen to the tape and read after it.

Step 5. Act
1. Part read the dialogue.
