日期和星期

今天是开学的第一天，Mike 和Helen在校门口遇到了，我们来看看他们谈了什么吧。Let’s go!
M：Good morning, Helen.
H: Good morning, Mike. How are you today?
M: I’m fine. And you?
H: I’m fine, too. What day is it today?
M: It’s Monday.
H: What date is it today?
M: It’s the first of January.
H: How many lessons do we have today?
M: About six lessons. It’s time for class. Let’s go.
H: OK. Let’s go.
从上面的对话中我们可以看到对星期和日期的不同提问方式。对星期几提问，可以用：
What day is it today? 意思是“今天是星期几？”回答的时候可以用It’s…，后面跟上具体的星期几的说法。如：
—What day is it today? 今天是星期几？
—It’s Tuesday. 是星期二。
—What day is it today? 今天是星期几？
—It’s Friday. 是星期五。
对日期提问的时候我们可以用：What date is it today? 意思是：今天是几月几号？回答的时候可以用It’s…，后面加上具体的日期。如：
—What date is it today? 今天是几月几号？
—It’s the second of May. 是<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:chsdate w:st="on" IsROCDate="False" IsLunarDate="False" Day="2" Month="5" Year="2006">五月二日</st1:chsdate>。
—What date is it today? 今天是几月几日？
—It’s the twentieth of October. 是<st1:chsdate w:st="on" IsROCDate="False" IsLunarDate="False" Day="20" Month="10" Year="2006">十月二十日</st1:chsdate>。

对日期提问我们还可以用What’s the date today? 回答和上面的形式一样。如：
—What’s the date today? 今天是几月几号？
—It’s the third of November. 是<st1:chsdate w:st="on" IsROCDate="False" IsLunarDate="False" Day="3" Month="11" Year="2006">十一月三日</st1:chsdate>。
