1.receive:接收(客观)   accept:接收(主观)   反：refuse拒绝  

I received a gift but I didn’t accept it.我收到一份礼物但我没有接受它。

refuse sth拒绝某事  I refuses his request.我拒绝了他的请求。

refuse to do sth拒绝做某事  He refuses to help me.他拒绝帮助我。

2.success：n.成功 (不可数)  Everyone wants to get success.每个人都想得到成功。

           成功的事(可数) Our charity show is a success. 我们的慈善演出很成功。

adj. successful成功的 a successful man 一个成功人士  

adv. successfully 成功地  He finished the work successfully. 他成功地完成了工作。

v. succeed成功  succeed in doing sth.  成功做了某事

                He succeeded in getting the job. 他成功得到了这份工作。

3.find的复合结构

1)find sb/ sth+ adj   I find him helpful.我发现他乐于助人。

2)find sb/sth +n  I find it a difficult book.我发现这本书很难。                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

3)find sb/sth+ 介词短语 I found him at home.我发现他在家。

4)find sb/sth+doing (发现…正在…)  I find him running.我发现他正在跑步。                       

5)find sb/sth+done(发现…被…)   I find the place changed.我发现这个地方变了。

4.as+adj/ adv+as 和…一样   

This film is as interesting as that one.这部电影和那部电影一样有趣。 He runs as fast as me.他跑得和我一样快。

否定 not as/so + adj/adv as     He can’t run so/as fast as you.他跑得不如你快。

5.experience

n.经历(可数)  an interesting experience一次有趣的经历

经验(不可数) She has no driving experience.他没有驾驶经验。

     have a lot of experience in…在…有经验   She has a lot of experience in teaching.

v.经历 Have you experienced difficulties?你经历过困难吗？

adj. experienced有经验的  be experienced in… 在…有经验   She is experienced in teaching.

6.confident  adj.有信心的  

      be confident of … 对…有信心 I am confident of your success.我对你的成功有信心。

confidence  n.信心（不可数）

      have confidence in… 对…有信心  I have confidence in passing the exam.我有信心通过考试。

adj→n  t→ce   patient→patience   important→importance  silent→silence   different→difference

7.advise  

1) v.建议 advise sb (not) to do sth 建议某人（不）做某事   

    The doctor advises him to exercise every day.医生建议他每天锻炼。

    advise doing sth 建议做某事   He advised leaving early.他建议早点离开。

2) n. advice建议(不可数)   a piece of advice 一条建议  Can you give me some advice?

                  ask sb for advice向某人征求建议  take/follow one’s advice接受某人的建议

8.discuss

v.讨论  discuss sth with sb.和某人谈论某事        I want to discuss the exam with you.我要和你讨论考试的事情.

       discuss+what/how/where+to do讨论做什么/怎么做/哪里

           We are discussing where to go on a holiday.我们正在讨论去哪里度假。

n.discussion讨论    have a discussion with sb与某人讨论   under discussion在讨论中

        Can I have a discussion with you?我可以和你讨论一下吗？
