3A Unit 8 Happy New Year!
昆山市玉山镇新城域小学 曹逸帆
一、教学目标
知识目标:
1.能熟练地听、说、读并拼写单词:a doll,a ball,a CD,a CD,a car,a robot.
2.能熟练地听懂、会说、会读并理解句型:What’s this/that?并会用
It’s a 来回答。
能力目标:
1.能正确熟练地运用Happy birthday向人表达祝贺生日快乐,并知道用Thank you 来回答。
情感目标:
通过本课时的学习,学生能明白cartoon time 的幽默,并乐于在别人生日时给予祝贺。
二、教学重点和难点
教学重点:
1.能熟练地听懂、会读、会运用句型:What’s this/that? (拓展in English),并会用It’s a 来回答。 
2.会说“Happy birthday”,并知道用“Thank you”来回答
教学难点:
能熟练地听懂、会读、会运用句型:What’s this/that?并会用It’s a 来回答。 
三、教学过程
Step 1.  Lead in
1. Sing a song.
T: Are you ready for our English lesson? Lets begin.
Listen and sing the song: Hello, hello, how are you?
2. Game
T: Do you like games? Lets play a game. Look and say the words quickly.
[A: father, mother, brother, sister, love,------family
B: cake, ice cream.----- eat, drink, food, hungry, thirsty.
T: More word? Think about it.
S:
C: This is a new ball, a new doll, a newTheyre the presents on New Years Day.
Step 2  Review
3. T: Its New Years Day. Happy New Year, class!
S: Happy New Year, Miss Shen!
T: Say to your friend!
T: Look, Helen and Mike are very happy on New Years Day. What happened?
Lets dub for the story.
T: I am Uncle John. Who can be Mike/Helen?
  T makes an example with Mike/Helen.
T: Now, its your turn. Prepare in groups.
Tips: 小组合作,分角色为故事配音。】
T: Which group can try?
S: Im
T: Good job! This is for you.
4. T: Mike and Helen have got some presents from Uncle John. What do they get? What is for Mike/Helen/Tim?
Please discuss in groups. Tips: 小组讨论,他们分别得到了什么礼物?每人说一句。】
T: Which group can try?(上台操作)
T: Good job! This is for you!
Step 3  Fun time
5.T: They have the presents. Look! So many presents! Do you know what they are?
Watch carefully! Try to guess whats in the box. If you are right, you can get a present. Are you ready?
T: Whats this?
S: Its a
T: Now, look! Its a Who is right? Its for you.
T: Who can come and play?
S1 2 3: Whats this?(学生操作)
Ss: Its a
S1 2 3: Look! Its a Who is right? Its for you.
The third one is a toy car.
Teach: toy.
T: Do you any other toys?
S:
6. S4: Whats this?
Answer: Its a CD.
T: Look, its not a CD. Its a VCD. We can listen to music from CD. We can watch cartoons from VCD. Again.
Step 4  Cartoon time
7. T: Theres a cartoon in the VCD. Lets watch it! Ok?
     After watching it, think about a title for it.

Teach: birthday, ir, bir, th, day,
T: Is it funny? Whats your title for it?
8. T: Yes. Its Bobbys birthday. What can we say to Bobby? What can you say when you want to give the presents? What can you say when someone gets a present? Watch again. And think about these questions.
9. Discuss in group. Feedback in groups.
Its Bobbys birthday.  Lets say Happy birthdayto Bobby!
S: Happy birthday, Bobby!
Bobby: Thank you.
10. T: Is Booby happy or scared? Lets read and think about the question.
PPTRead and think    Is Bobby happy?
Tips: 用你喜欢的方式。可以两人读,也可以三人读或者自己读。】
11. T: Is Booby happy?   S:
T: Watch the last part!
Bobby is scared. Because he gets a big surprise!. But he is still happy.
Now, who can act better?
12. T: Now, lets read the whole story.
Open your books at page 53. Follow the tape, try to imitate.
Tips: 1. 尽量模仿语音语调哦。2。比一比,谁模仿的更好!
13. T: Good reading. Now, lets act the story. Act in groups.
Ask one or two groups to act.
14. T: Good job! When we have a birthday, we often sing a song: Happy birthday to you. And heres a song:  Happy birthday to me
Lets enjoy the song Happy birthday! Then sing with me
Step 5 Consolidation
15. T: Oh, you all did a good job! On Bobbys birthday, Sam gives Bobby a big surprise. Look, its Sams birthday. What will Bobby give Sam? What happened in the birthday party? Act in groups.
T:Homework
1. copy the new words each one 3 times.
2. Try to act our story time.
