A RED, RED ROSE
          Robert Burns
O my luve is like a red, red rose,
That's newly sprung in June;
O my luve is like the melodie,
That's sweetly played in tune.
As fair thou art, my bonie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry.
Till a' the sea gang dry, my dear,
And the rock melt wi' the sun;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o' life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only luve,
And fare thee weel a while;
And I will come again, my luve,
Tho's it were ten thousand mile!
在六月里苞放;
你那么美,漂亮的姑娘;
我爱你那么深切;
再见吧,小别片刻;

Bed In Summer
by R. L. Stevenson In winter I get up at night
And dress by yellow candle-light.
In summer quite the other way,     夏日完全相反,
I have to go to bed by day.
I have to go to bed and see                 我必上床且看
The birds still hopping on the tree,
Or hear the grown-up people's feet
Still going past me in the street.
And does it not seem hard to you,    它对你来说难道不为难吗?
When all the sky is clear and blue,
And I should like so much to play,
To have to go to bed by day?

Home, Sweet Home
(1)
'Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam,
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home!
A charm from the skies seems to hallow us there,
Which seek through the world, is ne'er met with elsewhere,
Home! Home! Sweet, sweet Home!
There's no place like Home! There's no place like Home!
(2)
I gaze on the moon as I tread the drear wild,
And feel that my mother now thinks of her child,
As she looks on that moon from our own cottage door,
Through the woodbine, whose fragrance shall cheer me no more.
Home! Home! Sweet, sweet Home!
There's no place like Home! There's no place like Home!
(3)
An exile from home, splendor dazzles in vain;
对一个离乡背井的游子,再华丽的光辉,也是徒然闪烁;
Oh, give me my lowly thatch'd cottage again!
The birds singing gaily, that came at my call---

Give me them, -- and the peace of mind, dearer than all!
Home! Home! Sweet, sweet Home!
There's no place like Home! There's no place like Home!

Oh, Captain! My Captain!
       By Walt Whitman Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is worn,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red!
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up--for you the flag is flung--for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths--for you the shores crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here, Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck
You've fallen cold and dead.My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse or will;
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult, O Shores! and ring, O bell!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
            瓦尔特·惠特曼啊, 船长!我的船长!可怕的航程已完成;
他到下去,冰冷,永别。啊, 船长!我的船长!起来吧,倾听钟声;
起来吧,号角为您长鸣,旌旗为您高悬;
迎着您,多少花束花圈----候着您,千万人蜂拥岸边;
他们向您高呼,拥来挤去,仰起殷切的脸;
您到下去,冰冷,永别。我的船长不作声,嘴唇惨白,毫不动弹;
我的父亲没感到我的手臂,没有脉搏,没有遗言;
船舶抛锚停下,平安抵达;航程终了;

Rain 雨
Rain is falling all around,
It falls on field and tree,
It rains on the umbrella here, And on the ships at sea.

Spring
         By Thomas Nashe Spring, the sweet spring, is the year's pleasant king;
Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,
Cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!The palm and may make country houses gay,
Lambs frisk and play, the shepherds pipe all day,
And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!The fields breathe sweet, the daisies kiss our feet,
Young lovers meet, old wives a sunning sit,
In every street these tunes our ears do greet,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
Spring! the sweet Spring!

To the Cuckoo
       By William Wordsworth O blithe new-comer! I have heard,
I hear thee and rejoice.
O Cuckoo! shall I call thee Bird,
Or  but a wandering Voice?While I am lying on the grass
Thy twofold shout I hear;
From hill to hill it seems to pass
At once far off, and near.Though babbling only to the Vale,
Of sunshine and of flowers,
Thou bringest unto me a tale
Of visionary hours.Thrice welcome, darling of the Spring!
Even ye thou art to me
No bird, but an invisible thing,
A voice a mystery;The same whom in my schoolboy days
I listened to; that Cry
Which made me look a thousand ways
In bush, and tree, and sky.To seek thee did I often rove
Through woods and on the green;
And thou wert still a hope, a love;
Still longed for, never seen.And I can listen to thee yet;
Can lie upon the plain
And listen, till I do beget
That golden time again.O blessed Bird! the earth we pace
Again appears to be
An unsubstantial, faery place;
That is fit home for thee!
听到你啭鸣,我满怀喜悦;
伴着繁华和阳光;
曾倾听同样的鸣声;
踩着草地,穿过密林;
又显得空灵而神奇;
