go to school和go to the school什么区别？

Unit6 Part G的对话中出现了go to the school，一般情况下我只看到过go to school的表达方式。它们有什么区别？分别该怎么解释？

go to school 意思主要强调的是“去上学”
go to the school 主要强调“去学校”，不一定是上学的，可以到学校去玩，去找人等等。
