Step1 .Free talk
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Nice to meet you.
How are you this morning?
Excuse me, what’s this/ that in English?
Excuse me, what’s this/ that in/ on …?

Step2. Presentation
(1)T: I’ll show you a magic.(show three paper cups and a ball.
Move the cups quickly.
Ask Ss : Where’s the ball?
Teach: where, where’s
S: Read together. Read one by one and spell the word.
S: It’s in the cup.
T: Teach “ Where’s the…? It’s in…”
T: Use the ball to teach the words: on, beside.
(2) T: Give a model: A: Excuse me, where’s the…?
B: It’s in/on/beside…
S: Practice in pairs.
teach “ can’t, find,Sorry, I don’t know.”
(1)T: I forget where’s my friend. Can you help me? If you don't know, you can say ‘sorry, I don’t know.’
Teach: can’t , find, where’s she?
(2)Say a chant: Miss Li, Miss Li ,where’s Miss Li?

S: Say a chant.

Step3.Consolidation
S: Use the words they learned to sing the songs.
e.g: 1.Where’s the bed/the desk…, where’s the bed/ the desk? Do you know, do you know? It’s in the bedroom/study…, it’s in the bedroom/study…. Oh, I see, oh, I see.
2. Where’s Dad/Mum/…, where’s Dad / Mum? Do you know, do you know? He’s in the study/…, he’s in the … Oh, I see, oh, I see.
Step4.Homework
Listen to Unit7 A and read after the tape.
Do a survey: Where’s the …in your house?
