T: What day is it today?
T: What’s the date today?
T: What holiday comes soon?
T: What do people usually do at Christmas?
S: They usually buy a Christmas tree at home
T will put a Christmas tree on the blackboard
S: They usually give presents to each other.
Step2, While-task procedures
T: I have a lot of presents here. And this box is from my friends. ( T show a box) What’s in it? Can you guess?
Ss guess
T show it
T : Oh, it’s a watch. It’s my watch.
Ss read the new word
T: Whose watch is it?
S: It’s your watch.
T: What’s your Christmas present? Can you show us?
T: Oh, it’s a watch. Whose watch is it?
S: It’s her/ his watch.
T: Ok. Boys and girls, can you guess, what’s behind the Christmas?
Ss guess
T: They are presents for you.
T will show half of the wallet and teach the word: wallet
Then T will give the wallet to a student
T: Whose wallet is it?
S: It’s her/ his wallet.
Then T will ask some Ss to come to the backboard to take the presents
Use the same way to teach: teapot, hairdryer, skateboard.
T: OK. You are very good. I will give you a present.
T will give a girl a comb
T: What is it?
S: It’s a comb.
T: Whose comb is it?
S: It’s her comb.
T: Now, I have many presents for you, and they are their price. (T will show the price) And I want to know how much are they? So what do I need?
T show a picture and teach the new word: calculator
Ss read the new word
