Step1 Warm-up
a. Greetings
Good morning
b. Free talk
1.T: I’m Miss Lu. What’s your name?
S1: I’m xx.
2.T: Who’s he/she?
S: He’s/She’s xx.
T: Is he/she your friend?
S2: Yes, he/she is.
3. T: What’s this in English?
S3: It’s a book.
T: Can I have a look?
S3: Sure. Here you are.
c. Brain storming
1.on or in
Rule: The teacher takes a book or anything else and put it in or on the desk, the chair and so on, and then says in or on. If it’s right, the students clap once. If it’s false, the students clap twice.
T: on .(Put the book in the desk)
S: (Clap twice.)
2.Look and say
The teacher show the pictures(table, light, sofa, bed,…)and the students say it quickly. Then the pictures are put on the blackboard.
3. Count the numbers and the teacher draw lines on the blackboard.
Step2 presentation and drill
a. T: What can you see in the blackboard?
S: 房子
T: Yes, it’s a house. I have six rooms in the house.
(board writing: room)
b. T: (Put the picture of a bed in a room)Look, I have a bed in this room. What room is it?
S: 卧室
T: Yes. bedroom(teach and write, the students read the words one by one)
Pay attention to the pronounce /dr/-dress
c. T: (point to another room)I can watch TV in this room.
(teach sitting-room)
d. I can draw and write or play computer games in this room(TPR)
(teach: study)
e. chant: Study, study, it’s a study.
Sitting-room, sitting-room, it’s a sitting-room.
Bedroom, bedroom, it’s a bedroom.
f. T: xx, come here, please. Put the light in the study.
S: (Do it).
T: Where’s the light?
S: In the study.
T: Yes, it’s in the study.
(teach the sentences)
g. T: (Put the light in a room)
Where’s the light now? Is it in the study?
