Teaching aims：

3、能听懂、会说、会读日常交际用语Did you like the film？It was a funny cartoon.We all liked it very much . Were there any fruit trees on the farm?There were apple trees,orange trees and pear trees.

5、了解字母组合igh在单词中的发音.

The Simple Past Tense
The first period
Step1Free Talk
What day is it today?
What date is it today?
Do you like collecting stamps/cooking/playing football?
What do you usually do on Sundays?
Step2 Presentation and Practise
Show students a picture and ask : What is she doing? She is cooking eggs. Teach new word: cook,    new phrase: cook eggs.
Students read and act cook, cook, cook eggs.
Do the same steps as the other new words.
collect, collect, collect eggs.
milk, milk, milk cows.
pick, pick, pick oranges.
water, water, water flowers.
taste, taste, taste oranges.
pull up, pull up, pull up carrots.
Students read and act and have a competition between the groups.
Practise these sentences in pairs

I usually cook eggs/collect eggs/milk cows/pick oranges/water flowers/pull up oranges.
Step 3Assignment
Copy the new words and new phrases four times.
Recite them.

Show students pictures and ask What is she doing? She is cooking eggs.

Step 3
Students’ book Part C look at the pictures ask and answer in pairs.
The answers are: What did you do on Sunday? I watched cartoons.
What else did you do? I visited the zoo.
What did you do on Monday? I watered trees.
What else did you do? I pulled up carrots.
What did you do on Tuesday? I collected eggs.
What else did you do? I picked oranges.
What did you do on Wednesday? I watched a film.
What else did you do? I listened to music.
What did you do on Thursday?I played football.
What else did you do? I milked cows.
What did you do on Friday? I played football.
What else did you do? I cleaned the house.
Step 4Students write down these sentences as their homework and write down them.
