Teaching Procedures
Step 1: Greetings
T: Good morning / afternoon, boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning / afternoon, Miss Ren.
T: Nice to see you..
Ss: Nice to see you, Miss Ren.
Step 2: Free talk   
T: Hi, ×××. Glad to see you.
S1: Hi, Miss Ren. Glad to see you.
T: Can you dance?
S1: Yes, I can.
T: Can you dance?
S2: No, I can’t.
T: What can you do?
S2:I can sing.
T: Do you like running?
S3: Yes, I do.
T: Do you like swimming?
S4: No, I don’t.
T: What do you like?
S4: I like singing.
Step 3: Presentation
1. 导入  Ask and answer.
   T: Hi ,××× . Do you like playing basketball?
(T边问边做动作，以便学生理解。)
   S1: Yes , I do.
2．Learn the news words.
     （1）T: Do you know what shape is the basketball?
(T讲解 “shape ” it means “形状”)
T领读句型 what shape is it? It’s a ……
        T: It’s a …… (circle)  T适时引导  
          Read one by one.   
T show a card (实物、模型)
        T: What shape is it?   
S1: It’s a circle.
（2）  T show another card.
T: Is it a circle?
        S1: No.
        T: What shape is it?
Ss: It’s a ……
         引出 square.
        S1: What shape is it?  S之间利用发的剪好形状的纸进行对话练习
        S2: It’s a square.
(3)   T show a rubber, 利用句型what shape is it?  引出 diamond.
(4)   Practice
Listen and show
T: a circle
Ss: 将手中圆形的纸片举起来.
Ask and answer
    T: What shape is the chess?  
S1: It’s a circle.
T: What shape is the copybook?  
S2: It’s a square
也可以采用小组对话的形式
(5) T: Boys and girls, what's this?
Ss: It’s a blackboard.
T: Good! What shape is the blackboard?
Ss: It’s a ……
         引出 rectangle .(Let's Ss read one by one)
T: Good. Now, Listen carefully.
   Show me your rectangle.
Ss: ……
(6)  T show another card.
T: Is it a circle?
   Ss: No.
T: Is it a diamond?
   Ss: No.
T: What shape is it?
Ss: 三角形
T: Yes. It’s a triangle.
(7)  同法引出 star
Step 4: Practice
1、  Consolidation.
(1)    T领读. Let’s students read every words twice and spell one time.
(2)    Listen to the tape, read all the new words.
(3)     Listen and show
T说出一个单词
Ss 将手中对应的纸片举起来.
(4)        Ask and answer
           T: What shape is it?  
S1: It’s a circle.
           T: What shape is it?  
S2: It’s a diamond.
2、  Part C
(1)    T: Now, open your book, turn to page 71.There are 6 pictures, practice with your classmates, try to make a dialogue.
(2)    T 让S起来示范，正确后板书。
Picture 1  What shape is the biscuit?
          It’s a rectangle.
Picture 2  What shape is the sandwich?
          It’s a triangle.
Picture 3  What shape is the ball?
          It’s a circle.
Picture 4  What shape is the blanket?
          It’s a square.
Picture 5  What shape is the pencil sharpener?
          It’s a star.
Picture 6  What shape is the picture?
          It’s a diamond.
      (3)  Work in pairs.
  每两人一组，利用手边的剪成形状的纸或者自己身边有的实物对话练习:
  S1: What shape is the English book?
S2: It’s a rectangle.
S3: What shape is the rubber?
S4: It’s a circle.
(4) Let’s play a game.
T 让一个S说一个自己的幸运数字, 然后全班同学齐问: What shape is it? 该生回答: It’s a …… 如果猜对教师发给该生奖品。
Step 5: Conclusion.
1、        学习了B部分六个形状的单词。
2、 学习了本单元的四会句型What shape is the……? It’s a……
Step 6: Homework.
