3、能正确简要地阐述六种昆虫的相应特征
4、让学生明白：Insects are our good friends,从而如何做一个爱昆虫并善于观察的学生

A．Warm-up
    Listen to the song “We Know”before class.(营造一种气氛)
B. Free talk

C. Presentation
1. T: I often go to the park. I like watching insects.
　 T: Look, there are a lot of insects in the park(课件出示)
Teach: “insect”
Ss: Read
  (give them some minutes to look into it)
2. Introduce “four insects and their characters”
    a.T: What insects do you remember? （下面根据学生说的先后顺序引出新内容）              
   Ss: If they say “蚂蚁”
   Teach “ant”(见课件)  
   Ss: read and spell
T: Look, there is an ant, there are…?
　Ss: Some ants.
   T: How many ants can you see?
   Ss: A lot of / Many ants.
b.T: We can’t count them ,because they are too..?
   Ss: Too small.
  T: Yes, but they can carry big things.(介绍大概一只蚂蚁能驮比自身重十倍的东西)
  Teach “carry”     
  Ss: Read
  T: Do you know ants?
  Ss: Yes, I do.
  T: Can you describe it?
  Ss: It is small, but it can carry big things
  T: Let’s chant:   
Ss: chant together.
    An ant is small, but it can carry big things.
    Two ants are small, but they can carry big things.
    Three ants are small, but they can carry big things.
    Many ants are small, but they can carry big things.
c. T: Do you know other insects?
   Teach “other” (与each other联系在一起)
    Ss: read
    Ss: If they say “蝴蝶”
   Teach “butterfly”(butter黄油+fly飞)(见课件)
   Ss: read.
   T: Do you like butterflies.(强调一下复数形式)
   Ss: Yes, I do.
   T: I like butterflies too. They are beautiful.
      But they don’t like us. They like flowers.
   T: It’s beautiful and it likes flowers. What is it?
  Ss: It is a butterfly.
   T: A butterfly is…?
Ss: The butterfly is beautiful and it likes flowers.
d. T: Do you know other insects?
Ss: If they say “蜻蜓”
   Teach “dragonfly”(dragon龙+fly)（见课件）
   Ss: read
   T: Can you describe it in Chinese?
  Ss: 飞得稳，像飞机，多是青色的…
   T: It’s beautiful and it flies high.
  Ss: It flies high(with guesture)(介绍flies是fly的第三人称单数形式)   
   T: Compare “butterfly” and “dragonfly”
  Ss: 都以 “fly”结尾并都是两个单词拼成的。
e. T: Anything else?
    Ss: If they say “萤火虫”
   teach “firefly”(给音标，让学生试着拼读)
    Ss: read
T: What is the character?
Ss: 夜里会发光
    T：It glows at night.
Teach “glow”(与grow的发音相比较)
Ss: compare and read
3. Review four insects.
  a. 比较3个fly结尾的单词及 ant aunt的发音区别(见课件)
  b. T: What insect do you like?(show four insects)
  Ss: I like…
     T: Why?
    Ss: …(见课件)
  c. T: Look, I’m an ant.(头饰)
    Ss: I’m an ant, too.
T: My name is Tina. I’m small.But I can carry big things.
Ss: My name is …I’m small, but I can carry big things
     T: We are ants. We are small, but we can carry big things.
        (with the same way to review other three words and characters.)
4. Introduce other two insects.
a. T: Do you like insects?
     Ss: Yes
      T: What other insects do you know?
Ss: ….
b. T: introduce bee and grasshopper
   teach “bee”(see, sleep, tree) (见课件)
  Ss: compare and spell.
teach “dragonfly” (grass+ hopper)(见课件)
   Ss: read
c. T: I’m a bee. I’m hardworking.   
     Ss: I’m a bee. I’m hardworking.
     T: I’m a grasshopper. I live in the grass.  I can jump high.
   Ss: learn to say.
5. Review six insects: 缺词填空（见课件）
6. Introduce “ insects are our good friends”
   T: How do you spend your weekends?
  Ss: I often …Sometimes I …
   T: I often go to the park . I like watching insects.
Do you like catching insects?
  Ss: Yes/No.
   T: I think we can’t catch them. Why?
  Ss: Insects are our good friends.
D. Consolidation
   1. Listen to the tape and read after it(见课件)
   2. Read the passage by yourselves
      T: Any questions?
      Ss: Primary School.
Teach “Primary”
Ss: read and guess.
   3. 引导学生用自己的话介绍昆虫
T: I am a teacher. I teach at Qiao Qi Primary School.
I like insects very much.
      Ss: I’m a student…
T: You can go on saying as E
E. Sign homework
1、观察周围任一昆虫，作详细的介绍，可用自述形式：I am an ant…
2、假如你是爱虫协会的会员，请你向周围人介绍一些昆虫，让他们加入你的组织共同爱护昆虫。
F. 教学后记
   1．本节课主要围绕学生非常感兴趣的昆虫展开，以学生为主体，根据学生所想引出新授内容。让学生身临其境去感知各种昆虫的特征，激发他们去探索生活，从而热爱生活。
   2．在词汇教学中，根据五年级学生对音标的掌握程度，有的给音标，让学生自己去拼读或给出发音，让他们发现音标，还有意把一些有相同因素或有相同字母的单词放一起比较，有助于学生当堂掌握新单词的发音，更培养了他们学会归纳的本领。收益匪浅。
   3．课件的使用激发了学生的学习热情，更把一些通过语言或板书无法表现的东西形象地展现在学生面前，贴近实际生活，教学也会收到事半功倍的效果。
