I’m very happy!       
My maths is very bad, my marks are always between seventy and eighty in every test. Mum and Dad are very worried about it. They asked a houseteacher for me. But my mark is still between seventy and eighty. But in my surprise,my Chinese is very good. And I often get over eighty in Chinese.
I’m a student in grade six, and our maths teacher often says to me, “You should learn maths by heart.” I dot my head. I got full marks in maths today. I am very happy, my Mum and Dad are very happy, too.

My Dad is a bus driver. He has a lot of friends. Today, he called Mum and me to go to his friend’s house to have dinner. We agreed.
In the evening, Dad, Mum and I went to Dad’s friend’s house by bus. Dad drove us there. We got to Dad’s friend’s house soon.
My Dad’s friend’s is very beautiful. All rooms look bright, new and clean.
Then we had dinner together. And there was so much delicious food and there were a lot of fruits. We were very excited.

How beautiful!
Chen Chong is my cousin. Today is the end of his house. His relatives are coming. Of course my family are coming, too.
After dinner, they set firecrackers. Wow, the firecrackers are very beautiful from the ground to the sky. At last, dispersed. A lot of people take photos. The black sky with beautiful firecrackers become very beautiful.
I want to watch again.

A maths book
This morning, I go to school on foot. I see some students having come when I come into the classroom. I opened my school bag, but I can't find my maths book. I looked for it, but I still can't find it.
Oh, my mother was coming. She gave the book to me. I was very happy.

This afternoon, I am at home. I am doing my homework. The telephone is ringing.
Shan Chen: Hello.
Ding Pen: Is that Shan Cheng?
Shan Chen: Yes, hi, Ding Pen.
Ding Pen: What are you doing?
Shan Chen: I'm doing my homework.
Ding Pen: Are you free now? I want to play cards with friends at my home. Do you want to join us?
Shan Chen: Sorry, I don't.

Today is 24th of December. Tomorrow is Christmas. My family are getting very excited. We talk about Christmas at home.
Mum: What would you like as a Christmas present?
Shan Chen: I'd like a yo-yo and a calculator.
Mum: OK.
Shan Chen: Thank you very much.
Mum: What else would you like?
Shan Chen: I'd like a pencil-box.

This afternoon, my friend and I go home together. We are having a chat on the road.
"Yesterday was Christmas. What did you do yesterday?"
"In the morning, I did my homework, listened to music and watched cartoons."
"What else did you do?"
"After lunch, I went to my friend's home and played there. We played games, played cards and played football. We were very happy."

Shan Chen: OK. I can't find my coat. Where is it?
Mum: It's on the chair.

Mum: It's in the desk.
